<Vintage> NA-Horde-Raiding-PvP

We are an experienced Guild migrating from private servers to make our permanent home in Classic WoW!! We focus on recruiting mature, mechanically skilled players, with a strong mindset, and the desire to always learn more! Our goal is to be a Top 3 guild on any server that we decide to roll on. Once we have the current raid on farm we will be organizing PvP events on the weekends.

We utilize an EP/GP system to assist our Loot Council in making gearing decisions and we raid two nights/week Tue and Wed from 8pm ā€“ 11pm Eastern. **During progression we reserve the right to add a third raid day, in that case, we will also raid Thursday night.

                                       ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT?

We are more than happy to bring in a skilled player that might be lacking specific Vanilla knowledge - but you must be willing to learn. At the end of the dayā€¦ we are a progression focused guildā€¦ so we are fine with bringing new Vanilla players up to speed, with that in mind, we are only going to bring people to the raid who we feel will be able to help us down the next boss. Our goal is to full-clear Naxx and be one of the first 3 guilds on our server to do so. We will play Vanilla WoW for the rest of our lives and hope this guild enables others to do the same.

We want members who know that Vanilla WoW is a marathon and not a sprint. We believe that the strength of our culture and community is the strength of our raid team. Without a strong culture on the team that is free from loot/dps whoring, elitism, and cliques the guild will never be able to withstand the inevitable hardships we will face on our way to downing Kelā€™Thuzad.

We highly value Vanilla experienced players who are willing to share their knowledge and be patient with people who are still getting their first Vanilla experience. At the same time, we expect our members with less Vanilla experience to be able to mechanically execute and follow our commands, we understand you might need to see a new mechanic a couple times, but we expect you wonā€™t need much more than that.

*Raiders are expected to show up 30 minutes early; with all consumables dictated by your Class Leader. If you donā€™t show up on time or prepared you will lose EP, therefore, lowering your loot priority and risking your spot entirely.

                                                        PvP

We would like to have a group of players solely dedicated to PvPā€¦ maybe 15 or so who can form a pre-made team and establish a symbiotic relationship with our raid team.
RANKS:
Guild Master ā€“ Owner of the guild and final decision maker

Officer ā€“ Helps GM with administration of the guild

Class Officer ā€“ Helps keep members of their class at peak performance. Assists Loot Council with gearing decisions and raid attendance decisions.

PvP Lead - Premade leader, helps GM with PvP activities

Core Raider ā€“ A reliable raider who we feel deserves a ā€œguaranteed spotā€ as long as they continue to maintain the same level of play
and attitude

Raider ā€“ Keep being consistently on time, hassle free, and with consumables to attain this rank.

Warrior - A level 60 player with a hardcore focus on PvP

Member ā€“ Reach level 60

Social ā€“ A guild member who is level 60 but not interested in competitive activities like Raiding/Pre-made PvP. We will also assign this rank to friends/family of Members, even if they have not satisfied the level 60 requirement.

Trial ā€“ A new member of the guild

Raiding Positions:

We are not granting raid positions to players prior to Classic launch. Those that intend on raiding are urged to show effort and dedication to the main raid team by reaching max level as soon as possible (less than 5 weeks from release) and begin gearing pre-bis. The Raider rank will be awarded to consistent players who show up prepared and are hassle free.

Core Raider Rank:

  • Is a team player
    • We believe raiding is a team-sport and intend to treat it as such; so all of the same principles apply when trying to work together to dominate this server.
    • We foster friendly competition, but always know that the real competition is all of the other bum guilds on our server.
    • We have a great time raiding together and engage in ā€œlocker room talkā€ when appropriate, but when it is game time we focus to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as we canā€¦ while always aiming to be better.
  • Understands that raiding is an iterative game
    • Iterated Game. When players interact by playing a similar stage game numerous times, the game is called an iterated (or repeated) game. Unlike a game played once, a repeated game allows for a strategy to be contingent on past moves, thus allowing for reputation effects and retribution.
    • It really doesnā€™t matter where we start as long as we understand the potential to always improve and we always go into raid with the expectation we will kill more bosses than we did the previous week.
  • Has a very high attendance rate
    • We value consistency almost above all else. We believe one of the main keys to downing bosses in Naxx before anyone else on the server is to keep as much loot in the guild as possible.
  • Does not raid log
    • Consistently has more EP than everyone else becauseā€¦ they are always on helping people and participating in guild activities.
  • Is knowledgeable of their class
    • You share your knowledge freely and without judgement in your voice. You do not coach people during raidsā€¦ but outside of raids you offer help.
  • You believe feedback is a gift
    • You welcome more information about your class, role, and general gameplay always looking to get better.
  • You believe in the loot system
    • We donā€™t want people who complain about loot, it is toxic to the group and guild. The Loot Council is not composed of ā€œa group of friendsā€ - the council will do our best to distribute loot strategically, keeping many factors in mind.

Loot:

We intend to begin guild raiding with a transparent *EP/GP loot system as soon as possible, thus, those that reach max level earliest have a greater chance of being incorporated into the primary raid.

On top of our EP/GP system and addon, we will loot council powerful items to make sure the guild is geared appropriately.

Gear will be distributed in priority as follows:

Mages: Ranged DPS kings, heavy lies the crown, we want a lot of you so you will get gear slowly but you will get Ranged DPS gear prio on a lot of stuff because of it. That also means we expect you to be portal dronesfor the whole guild and be our personal vending machines.

Warlocks: Debuff drones. With 16 debuffs at the beginning Warlocks might be able to do some respectable damage but overall we believe their true potential lies from ZG to Naxx and until then they are mainly there to CC and debuff priority target. You will get second prio after Mages for a lot of stuff.

Shaman: Need the most MP5 and are vital to our strategy. We will have ideally 8 Shaman with at least 1 Enhance so we will be giving them a lot HEALING gear. But because of numbers it will come slowly. You must be patient. And if you are Enhance you must understand you are only here to totem twist and keep Nightfall up so you will mostly have access to gear that everyone else passes onā€¦ but we love you for it.

Priest: You have the most raw throughput and can benefit the most from Spirit gear. Because we are running less Priests than Shaman you will get lower priority on some items. A good priest can make due with less.

Druid: There is only like 2 of you - 1 is Resto prio and 1 is Feral/Resto prio. You both will be expected to tank 4 Horsemen in Naxx and 5 man dungeons during the week.

Rogues: Melee DPS kings we want a lot of these so you will get high prio on melee DPS gear but you will have to be patient with it coming to you.

Warriors: You are tanks. So that is how we will gear you. Some of you might end up getting some Fury gear and then we can talk. We need you to tank dungeons during the week over and over and over again. You have to love it and love being a guide for everyone in the dungeon. We can go at whatever pace you want but just help us all get gear. You are the cog that really drives the machine.

Hunters: There are only 3 of you and you are mainly here for utility. We will do our best to get you some loot but will be second priority to Melee DPS.

This system will ensure fairness across the board.

Note: Bindings of the Windseeker and Eye of Sulfuras are reserved loot items and will be counseled appropriately. Other items like Eye of Divinity, Ancient Petrified Leaf, various powerful items may also end up on this list. Officers will have the list public at all times.

**Those that are on the ā€˜benchā€™ will accumulate loot system points at the same rate as those within the actual raid instance.

Raid Groups:

If there is enough interest in raiding, a second alternate group will be formed.

Raid Times:

8-11pm EST Tuesday

8-11pm EST Wednesday

8-11pm EST Thursday (Progression Only)

We are not reserving raid spots for anyone permanently, you can earn raid spots by hitting cap in a reasonable time (around 5 weeks) and participating with the guild.

That said, we do have a tentative raid compendium set up. At the moment we need 4 warriors, 7 shaman, 2 warlocks, 1 rogue and 1 hunter, though things are subject to change.

bump!

looks like a good guild
