I am so happy you checked them out and let me know!
Planetary Helm

I am so happy you checked them out and let me know!
They really are masterpieces in terms of early armor designs. Thanks for sharing <3
If anyoneâs obsessed over my use of the word âtraditionalâ, they are welcome to go through the work of the more productive people on here and find me some truly traditional gear.
I think the Vrykul make for some great fantasy Vikings. I would look to them for inspiration.
It was questing around Utgarde Keep that I was inspired to make this thread.
Nailed it again haha!
While we dwarves are short, we more than make up for it in stoutness. Also makes sense for a viking to be a dwarf in WoW because the characters from the original game, Lost Vikings, are in WoW and they are dwarves.

Oh, and people giving Thassarius an overly hard time with regards to the horned helmet,. Blizzardâs Lost Vikings have horns.
He does say traditional FOR A DWARF PALLY. A traditional dwarf viking has a horned helmet.
@Thorland Dwarves always have one anotherâs back :â)
And amen brother. Never grow taller.
@Fenshire <3

itâs kind of a dinosaurs had feathers sort of deal, we have to go around telling people that vikings didnât have horns because popular culture shows them doing so, such as in comics and video games.
the reality is that in battle having something on your head easy for your enemy to grab on to and twist or pull with leverage would result in a lot of broken necks and slit throats, which is why they didnât wear horns on their helmets. nevermind the weight.
Aye lad! Us dwarves gotta stick together. I also support any dwarf interested in mogging.

Oh, I totally get ya! Itâs not practical in a realistic sorta way. Kinda like the trope of a super sharp sword. Most were rather blunt, actually.
One thing I chuckle at in game are Tauren with large rings in their nose cause I know what they are used for. lol
Traditional would work equally well when put into a perspective like Iâve done.
No, it really doesnât. No need to get snippy just because people corrected you.
That is⊠amazing.
You sir have changed my life.
ME being snippy? Alrighty thenâŠ
Nothing would have prompted you to âcorrectâ me when we were doing so wellâŠ
Just watching Thassarius and Cladis argue is kinda funnyâŠ
Hardly arguing - I despire forum arguments.
Iâm just stating to the both of you that we were doing fine without your âcorrectionâ.
Why make it?
If youâre so keen on enforcing it, where are these traditional mog items you said youâd grab me?
Edit: I love the idea you recommended, just show me some WoW items for them. That is all!
ME being snippy? Alrighty then
I apologize my lord, for I was busy getting groceries.
What do you prefer? Traditional Viking or Stereotypical Viking?
Seems we wonât come to terms then.
Thatâs alright.
Stereotypical it is then, if that makes you happy. Now, if you donât mind, some people are actually contributing.
Anyone have any nice ideas of weapons? I think the Northrend axes and maces are a nice fit, but, any I may have missed?
Stereotypical it is then, if that makes you happy. Now, if you donât mind, some people are actually contributing.
But my lord, I only kid! I only needed to know what style you wanted! Now, here are a couple helmets.

I believe all of them do. Except the Cataclysmic Gladiatorâs Plate Helm.
