"Viewer Carries" is literally against TOS/ is RMT

Streamers doing “Viewer Carries” for subscriptions, follows, likes, etc, is a form of RMT. They are using carries as a tool to increase their income from their stream or video platform.

Dear Blizz, please stop this from happening, the evidence is on stream. Issue a new policy that this is considered RMT and start the bans.

Thanks,
A wow pvp lover.

Who cares? Honestly. There are so many bigger issues to worry about. You’re being a Karen. Even for as much as I play, I rarely ever run into Pika or anyone else doing carries and most of them result in a win. You’re basically fighting 2v1.

I haven’t logged on to my warrior after pika killed it in 2s. I was just trying to gear an alt man.

your nerf threads haven’t been hittin the same eh?

better hop on the RMT train

Yea nahj rlly sussy with his viewer games

Actually, Would higher health pools indirectly nerf sub because they have more Hp to get through in their kill window?

When I hear big stamina I think Demo/Bm/Warrior benefit the most

ye it could plus the evis 10% nerf

sub burst is going to take a hit

hard to say how hard of a hit tho

Its barely a dent tho. On plate their evis hits for 280k+ and also some of it hits for shadow damage ignoring armor. Its still going to be way overtuned

you prob right im just sayin idk how overtuned it will still be

I guess that’s what you have to do when you are a streamer and the game/mode you play is not popular enough where you can maintain off viewership alone.

Either that, or you are not that interesting or entertaining enough on your own, and the only way you can get tips/subs is by doing people favors.

Hi. OP made this thread because THEY care, and they explained why. Thanks!

Hi! Yes, and who cares? It’s a figure of speech. I’m not actually asking. Thanks!

If the OP actually cared, they would offer up how this is impacting them. Reality is, they just don’t like people streaming and players helping others get rating.

that’s an exceptional reason in of its own

Why? People do this all the time. It’s just because they’re streaming that we see it.

I dont see this happening, people love their streamers, similar to lonely fans they throw money at them… If the streamer wants to play with their viewers, nothing stopping that. pay piggies go oink oink oink!

I don’t agree with it either but I’m pretty sure the company supports this, and I’ll explain. They see RMT services as a percieved loss of revenue (for reasons unknown, corporate is nothing if not stupid) and thus banned them. It was never about game integrity, because when they banned RMT they allowed in game gold transfers. To my left may I present the WoW token, very shiny and nice. A fast way to get gold, with a price tag that Blizzard can collect on.

The ultra tilting thing is this company thinking they can do something like that and proceed to virtue signal to the pvp community that they care-about anything. All the while engaging in spite balancing, releasing unfinished product etc. What the company cares about is the bottom line.

If you wanted to change this you’d have to find and then produce a good amount of written feedback suggesting people don’t want to participate because of ’ 4 Gold’ carries, streamer/viewer games etc.

There is a rather large hole in your post, and I hate to point it out but I have to.

Correct, but their income isn’t being given to them by the person they are carrying; it’s being given to them by the streaming company or sponsors. The party paying them would pay them regardless as long as they hit viewer and sub numbers.

I know you’re trying to be specific, however the ‘RMT’ here is the streamer playing the game. Something thousands of streamers do every day. Not only do I see this company (or any company) being ok with that on free advertising alone, it also looks good from a PR stand point. Blizzard sees only wins here because they aren’t responsible for paying the streamer, collect real money from token purchases used to buy boosts (pvp/pve) or raid/M+ achievements and get free advertising in the process.

Its a nasty little double standard that the company created. I don’t agree with it but until something changes we’re stuck.

It does feel like they almost have disdain for the players.

Like Diablo 4, 90% of players quit the first month, yet Record breaking profits.

Yep World of Whalecraft, where pay to win is the standard.

Ye don’t even get me started on crafted gear being bis and again this nice shiny WoW token.

Tilting.

One will likely spend more on an enchant than they will crafted pvp gear.

PVE gear being bis in PVP is another matter, though. :dracthyr_love_animated:
