Donāt judge it before release. There is a reason it is in the betaā¦You might not like it, but judging it before release is basically blindly saying something is bad based off a first glance.

Starfall not being stack-able now is spooky, means weāll still be throwing out SS in AoE situations. I know Starfall has really sucked this expansion so itāll still be a bit better, weāll actually press Starfall, but still.
There are a few other things Iām nervous about but I think they still have time to polish it up. A lot of good boomies are around to give solid feedback, just up to Blizz to decide if they want to implement it.

Part of it could be the decrease in secondary stats. But yeah the class changes should not be anywhere near finished at least for enhancement shaman. That spec in shadowlands looks like a trash can. Compared to it actually being pretty complete now.

Iām at a point with WoW that I just really donāt care about Class Design. Their design philosophy just results in overly simplistic rotations compared to almost any other MMORPG on the market.
Even if there are things you can do to prove yourself better than others, the base gameplay of the rotations isnāt interesting. And it kind of needs to be in a tab target / traditional combat MMO.
But hereās the thing, I donāt feel like this is a new development. WoW has always been this way. Iāve just spent long enough here and seen enough other games for that to not excite me anymore.
Iām hoping I can get some enjoyment out of Shadowlands, but itās not going to be because of Class Design unless they totally change how they go about things in a way theyāve never done before.

While I will say donāt make a final judgement yet. Because its Alpha.
At the same time, let your voices be heard. But give specific feedback. Explain why you donāt like a certain class design. Not just vague āits awfulā.

They said donāt judge the azerite system before release. And look at that disaster. It ruined the launched and first 6 months of the expansion. Judging it before release is the only way to prevent another catastrophe like we saw in BFA.
Or how about when the Legion legendary system was obviously flawed because of the rng way you got them. People pointed out that it was a dumb idea before release, and white knights said the same thing, ādonāt judge before releaseā and then the same thing happened. The xpac released and legendaries were a disaster. But yes letās just let Blizzard keep doing this every single expansion. Great idea!

It went from random procs of Eclipse to Hard Cast of 3 to trigger an Eclipse.
Both systems are bad.
Now what could work is something like this (spitballing).
They have 3 Lunar and 3 Solar Orb. Each cast of the appropriate type generates an orb of the appropriate type. With the orbs having a slow decay rate (much like how Holy Power decays after awhile).
That way it still requires 3 casts, but youāre not hard locked into 3 back to back.

Well, and not being snide, its actually still in Alpha, not Beta. But thatās no excuse not to speak up now. If we wait until release, itāll be too late.
Speak up when the Problems are spotted or theyāre likely to become Unwanted Features.

While I completely agree with you that most classes look bland and awful right now. Especially all three mage specs. Iām still holding my judgement until I can see how they look at level 60. If they still look awful, iām coming for Holinkaās booty.

Iām worried because right now, classes/specs feel okay if you get the right azerite traits and it took till patch 8.2 to get the system in place to have a good chance of getting the ones you need.
Once azerite goes away, I think a lot of specs are going to feel bad again.

So he did make those disclaimers. And even with that, there are still numerous specs in a bad spot. He specifically mentioned the Eclipse system for Boomkins being something he didnāt care for. The hard cast of 3 to trigger an Eclipse.
