How many of you use video recoding to record ingame activity for illegal activity from others to support your claim for your report to a GM?
You’re recording people doing illegal stuff?
Ok what’s the tea?

Ew, a snitch. Where’s Gandolfini at?
I am certainly curious to know what exactly caused you to create this topic. ![]()
I’ve included gifs and still images to report bugs. But not of other people doing stuff.
Only one time when someone sent me some horribly disgusting messages
other than that, never because i shouldn’t have to do blizzards job for them
Didn’t even have to do it that one time, but i didn’t know blizzard kept chat logs at the time
Story time!
It’s Warlords of Draenor. First season. Rated Battlegrounds. I am running a weekly (Thursday night) premade of mostly the same players. We’re about 2200 rated, at one point one of the highest rated teams in North America. After we get to a high enough rating, we start encountering cheaters. And not your every-day run of the mill cheater, but legit hackers.
Groups that were selling pilots to Hero of the Horde/Alliance were using actual hacks to fly with the WSG flag across the map, or cap AB flags from literally under the ground. It was egregious.
So we reported the team(s) doing it.
Blizzard shows up the next week, an actual Game Master joined our rated WSG match. He was talking to us in our raid chat. He was WATCHING the other team fly the WSG flag around the air. He acknowledged what was transpiring, but refused to action the account or teams. He said he couldn’t be sure the account wasn’t compromised.
SO YOU JUST LET THEM CHEAT THEN AND TANK OUR MMR?
So, we recorded it. We recorded about 5 different games where these teams were straight up hacking. We posted the games on Reddit and posted links to the videos here on the forums.
I was banned. Why? Because naming cheaters directly is against the ToS. So half my team reposted all the links and videos. They were all banned.
The hackers? Still playing. Still selling boosts. Still cheating openly. But god forbid you record it to prove it to people? That’s bannable. That’s against the ToS.
End story.
Yes. I started recording Solo Shuffle matches and using arena logs when I noticed suspicious plays in about 1 in every 20 of my matches.
Also, amazing username! ![]()
I doubt anyone takes the game that seriously and some judge is going to look at the video and decide you were booted from a pug unfairly and order the 4 other group members to pay 829 gold in damages and 1200 gold punitive damages, which would prolly get lowered on appeal.
Blizzard has let go 99% of their customer service staff. There’s no one to even watch the video even if you recorded and submitted it.
Maybe an AI judge will find all 5 of them guilty and sentence them to 15 years of hard labor working for Skynet.
(AI staff don’t require a salary)
It’s quite simple. It’s illogical but simple. Upvotes on threads or Facebook post people like this somehow make them feel more valid in the circle of life
It’s really is simple as that. They don’t even care what their threads or post or about half the time they just care about the likes aka the validation
This is yet another reason why I steer clear of PvP, cheaters just made it unfun.
Snitch is just the gaslighting version of criminals. “Oh I did something wrong and you told on me, you’re a snitch!”
I smell a snitch. Where’s Gandolfini at?
i don’t care that much
I remember this. If I am remembering correctly, the hackers just started flying under the ground so you couldn’t see them anymore unless you saw them pop up. Some were also using teleports too.
In fact, I saw one zip in the new spider zone a week ago. I was fishing, and they zoomed by. They were underground, but popped into view under the water for a fraction of a second.
no, when someone calls me an unintelligent two button dumbiot I just say “one.”
Oh some absolutely do, though in most cases to say “illegal” activity is…rather a misnomer. A ToS or CoC violation is usually not a major crime (It’s breaking a contract but that’s fairly common), doxxing and assaulting someone IRL as I’ve seen VERY sporadic cases of in this and some other games? That IS a crime.
I am glad we have a new team, then.
