Who needs a DPS shaman when a resto shaman can top damage meters while one-shotting people between the earth ele and vesper totem legendaries?
Itâs a killable totem, putting primary damage in a killable totem will always be trash design.
If itâs as good as you say then it takes about a week or two for players to become super-powered ninja expert totem killers. Good luck using this covenant ability after three weeks because it will basically never see the light of day after that.
Hell, NPC kill my totems in this SL xpac. Players literally went on like a war campaign against blizzard over that ages ago to stop that, devs took multiple passes at it finally giving totems some kind of negative threat. Now itâs like it never happened ⌠this is not an improvement.
Except vesper can be moved across the map OFF GCD and one-shot you in the same GCD in which it moves.
Thereâs never been a totem anything like vesper before.
there is a 4(?) second ICD on moving the totem. so if the sham moves it out of LOS you have a few seconds of safety before they can move it in for the kill
If anything, the totem needs like 10% more of your HP. it gets 1 tapped by literally anyone with a brain
The 10% hp it already has is more than enough and already makes it so you canât snipe it w/low damage ranged abilities like shocks.
Suggesting this is easily counterable by anyone with a brain and therefore not an issue just isnât true. Not if itâs utilized/protected/setup properly.
If the legendary burst damage were nerfed and you really needed it to be next to your target for all 3 charges to do good damage (like pre-covenant legendary days) then iâd agree it could maybe have more health.
As is, 10% health is already scary when it can be instantly ported in from across the map and one shot you.
The ICD isnât incurred on the initial cast though. So you can place this wherever you want and move it as soon as you want.
Only after the first reposition do you incur the ICD.
ICD is maybe 3 seconds? Feels pretty short.
