Versatile, and why the nerf wasn't that big

Went and tested it, I normally have 41.7% vers base in current setup, using a 2 12% and 1 9% amp.
In pvp I go to 38.1% baseline, my full conflict stacks and a surging still puts me well over 73% vers with 81% being the top for me right now.

I still saw myself myself go into the stun and barely move, so please enough with the chicken little syndromes.

I dont get the conflict major change, every time I get stunned its putting my defensive versa within 1%~ of my offensive versa.

Surging didn’t get nerfed so that’s still going to push people high. Honestly could care less about the defensive aspect as it was obvious that was going to be minor. Unbuffed at base values I lost just under 6% dmg just “because”.

Meanwhile my tankyness is close enough to the same, more so now that it procs on all stuns. So I dont get the point of this change when other dps amps didn’t get changed.

They also nerfed conflict defensive portion too, trying to limit defense I guess?

Again, before nerf if I had 50% versa conflict would make my defensive versa 50%.

Now after the nerf if I have 50% versa, conflict major is upping my defensive vers to 49%~, at least as far as the char stat screen goes.

And while conflict major was an issue, you take more of a damage hit than defensive hit from a versatility nerf, so if people are using versa even though our dmg taken is increased slightly, we are also dealing less damage to each other.

The biggest offense to this change is some classes just have no choice but to rely on versa and cant make very much use out of other corruptions, and those classes get punished a bit more.

I didn’t have a lot of vers to begin with, so going from 31% down to 29% does kind of stink. :frowning:

Uh…

Did the nerf actually go live?

Maybe they’ll post something about how they forgot to push the changes out again.

They didn’t release hotfix notes so :man_shrugging:

All this does, if anything, is put more emphasis on having the versa heavy gear.

Yeah, like right now I have everything on with heavy vers and quite a few sockets.

I mean before reset my defensive vers would always be exactly the same as offensive, now it’s about 1-1.8% less so some change went through.

I dont understand the wording of their change tho.

Base versatility is X% dmg/healing and 50% of that is x% dmg reduction, Old conflict major we received 100% of our offensive versa value.

Their new change is we now recieve 50% of our offensive versa value? which on top of our already 50% base seems to be putting us right back up to nearly 100% lol.

I assumed at best it was going to be multiplicative and put us at 75% of our offensive versa value but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Thinking they just screwed up.

Maybe it’s not as drastic as what they were saying

ok we testing 55% vers 6 amps team
lets so how fixed the game is !1!

Nerfing CnS’ defensive bonus from 100% to 50% only lowered your Versa’s damage reduction in a stun by 1%-1.8%?

Something seems off.

yes, every stun I checked my defensive versa was always just a bit more than 1% below my offensive.

Like when I tried HoJ my defensive versa went from 52.5%~ to 51.3% or somewhere around there, same with lasso.

Could just be UI related and it isn’t representing the actual values now.

It means if you have 40% vers (20% defensively) and you get stunned with CnS major your defensive vers goes to 30% rather then 40%. Instead of doubling defensive versa like it was before, it goes up another 50%.

Edit, you’re next post makes me think something weird is happening.

unlucky

conflict change didnt go live

in other news 53% vers outside of arena went down to 44% in arena so people will still have crazy vers and you wont notice the change much at all

I wonder why you went down so drastically though, I went from 41.7% to 38.1%

Haha… I wonder what my 14% vers will be now…

BFA…

The conflict change isn’t even listed on the EU pvp hotfix notes.
