Velfs got their black and white

When aren’t we an embarrassment?

Comparing a race they had already planned on adding long before we knew about them to Helf whining and crying for something you’re not is pretty nonsensical.

Look at what killed wildstar. Because all I am doing is pointing out the problem. Like you and many others who are passionate about the alliance, there are also horde players that feel the same way about their side. Right now for the last 3 expansions, they have been pushing out the solid paying customer in favor of only one in particular. Business-wise it makes no sense. Unless they are intentionally trying to push that portion of customers out of the game. Sort to speak. Therefore, BFA decimated a solid portion of these horde customers? Then did the same for alliance. However, they did try and still trying to appease the alliance-based customers while angry the horde-based customer.

FYI more customers the more money a business makes. Businesses as a rule do not intentionally like Blizzard doing run-off customers. They are pulling the ripcord like crazy for alliance customers at the expense of its other half of paying customers. Does anyone realize this is not normal? Who am I kidding they ignored the warning signs about ninja looting !

You’re actually playing a “Horde gets table scraps” card?

Really?

Do you REALLY want us to go through everything the Horde got compared to what the Alliance got int he past few expansions?

This is literally the FIRST thing people asked for we got as Alliance.

You should talk. As I recall orcs got a bunch of colors for their Mag’har heritage armor to represent the different clans and after all these years regular orcs(and I think trolls?) Back finally got fixed.

Which as I recall is the reason male orcs have the most customization options amoung the playable races.

I give up. Cause you just reading what you want. I telling you what i have read without any bias in my deck.

If you had a million more shades of blue, would you consider that more options than everyone else?

If it was the shade of blue I was requesting for years that stopped making my character look like an old man(seriously fixing the orcs back was a request for almost as long as high elves)then yes.

This would be qualitative additions:

These are quantitative additions:

They added more green. That simply increased the number of options, but provided no meaningful choice in the same way that, say, different Elven eye colours or Wildhammer tattoos or Sandfury skin tones do.

I appreciate that Orcs received a lot of attention with the revamp. But I also recognize that a certain other race is getting additions that completely change the aesthetic and tone in accordance with player request.

I hate when people try to pull out numbers of customizations by using that silly chart. Making an Orc straight or hunched doesn’t change the appearance that much. Qualitative will never be used, though, because it doesn’t fit their narrative.

Especially when they use that meaningless exponential (and frankly elementary) mode of calculating available options. It completely misrepresents the case when adding a slightly different shade of green increases the number by 500,000,000.

Right?! It drives me batty. Well… batty-er.

I’m curious what the numbers would be if you went through and disqualified options that were 99% identical to other options. Like, it feels a bit disingenuous to say Nightborne truly had 6 hair colors when 4 of them are very very faint tints on white.

And that is because they were still constrainted by the lore that orcs as a general rule have green skin. If you wanted a non greenskin orc you have to be Mag’har.

And giving us new hair color is a major change? Like it or not the lore expanded and we now have fair skinned elves in the void elves rank.

And if you want to talk quality. The amount of effor it would take to add a new skeleton(and make sure the current animation work on said skeleton) probably exceeds the amount of effort at effectively copy/pasting existing assets to void elves.

Then why are Blackrock Orcs grey? Why do Dragonmaw Orcs have ashen purple skin and glowing amber eyes? Why do Magtheridon Fel Orcs have pink skin? All are of the same stock. All were corrupted by demonic influence. None are “Mag’har,” by definition, as they are all corrupted. Moreover, Fel Orcs in the AU were black (and unplayable), Blackrock Orcs were charred with glowing fiery eyes (playable, yay!), and Dragonmaw Orcs didn’t even exist (can’t be playable if they don’t exist).

Except it didn’t. It’s headcanon. Blizz hasn’t expanded lore. There’s no dialogue no nothing to support Helfs.

The barber shop will enjoy the gold they make from me due to this change.

Good job new blizzard team. Continue to do what you predecessors did not and you will eventually soothe this savage beast back into gentle kitten form.

Happy for them, but until they can be Pally’s I’m not really interested

You don’t have to be spoon feed lore. I recall a long time ago people said when Jaina suddenly left in Legion people were saying she abandoned everyone and was a coward for not doing anything while everyone else was fighting the Legion. I told people that did not seem like what Jaina would do and the only likely explanation is she went off to fight on her own. Et violà we got the comic later on that proved I was correct.

As it is right now the high elves/blood elves joing the void elves is the only explanation for the new skins and more importantly solve the lore problem of how a bunch of rogue scholars can now field an army that can match the blood elves.
