Right, but champion gear is much like the heroic level dungeons. They’re great for the first week or two, but Heroic track carries much further, which is where i believe the true issue with delve gearing lies.
Although for the first week, pumping out constant champion gear instead of veteran gear is a decent boost, especially when you can start funneling crests into that gear

Doubt people are waiting on delve heroic items if they’re interested in m+. And if people are, they’ll probably be geared out at the end of the season. It’s not that big of a factor compared to the initial boost.
This change by Blizz does nerf delve loot slightly without really nerfing it.
Plus they’re extending delve loot to gilded crests.

It giving out tier was a major thing though. Even mythic raiders were doing delves clear into weeks 3-4 because they were unlucky with drops.
Ah but this goes back to that “end of season” comment. Doesn’t really change much in the grand scheme of things, unless you’ve set a goal to get all 37? specs fully geared out in a single season simply by doing Delves.

The solution to this isn’t to make things trivial for mains (because people want to max out alts for some reason.) It’s warbound gear.
Delves in season 1 gave a lot for doing very little.
They are hundreds of times easier than M+ in all ways.
It was kind of expected that the gravy train would stop at some point.
Ion saw delves quickly lost popularity, but he has 110% misinterpreted why.
The only feedback he’ll listen to is his spreadsheets, so all I can do is continue… not doing delves in s2.
And why would that “feedback” be interpreted the way you want it to?
Could be that season 2 doesn’t feature fresh leveling content, not as much story as well.
Imagine seeing how unpopular they were especially after they have been over rewarding by giving hero track in vault.
Convinced 2850 achievement is cause numbers at +12 are lacking, and gilded in delve 11, is Blizzard caving to the moar gear crowd.
It absolutely won’t be. But there’s no other way to reach the fellow.
How about you play WOW for what you enjoy instead of trying to be the one to send a message?
I do play wow for what I enjoy, and that is the message. As I said, I will continue to not do delves because they’re crap.
