It’s not impossible, but for certain classes it’s harder to get into a group if you’re not willing to set up your own run. It’s caused by so many people playing wrath sticking to the meta classes, meaning they’re over represented. Mages are a pretty over populated one, as they’re one of the top DPS classes, and were throughout most of wrath which meant lots of people looking to play the meta class rolled them, so anytime a VoA group goes up it’s one of the first spots filled, with many more applying, compared to something like an enhance shaman who could open up LFG and find a group instantly because there’s hardly any around so 9 times out of 10 there’s be a free spot for you.
It’s an easy fix though, if they find searching for a group to join unbearable they should just start their own.
but it’s a spec run. By definition it only has one per spec. It’s only “difficult” for specs there is an overabundance of, because there is only one slot for that spec.
I’d argue any pugs should have forced personnal loot and soft lockouts should be a thing. I haven’t truly pugged since naxx because of ninjas. I only raid on my alts with guild groups that fill their weekly raids.
Agreed. They should implement personal loot for classic as a QOL fix. Not only that but it would end the gold buying problems that Blizzard has created on these servers.
I understand the loot advantage of spec runs, but it’s such a minor thing. If you’re doing 10+25-man every week, which you probably are for the ez badges, then you’ll get your loot sooner or later.
If there was a mix of spec runs and non-spec runs, it’d be different. But seemingly all VOA runs are spec runs these days. So annoying. I mean, there’s another 9 months on this raid tier until Cata Classic.
Yea because H+, new class changes, adding the token/boost is all part of wotlk.
The no-changes ship has sailed.
Even Vanilla is getting changes with discovery.
Yea just that personal loot is specific to MoP-Legion. The other things you mentioned have nothing to do with those expansions specifically. Maybe token but that is completely different topic
