I put a ticket in because my great vault was empty this week when I should have at least had one slot cuz it did two raid bosses I put a ticket in to find out that they didn’t even read it it seems and after realizing how crappy this game’s customer support has got I think it’s about time to move on
What ticket path did you use?
If it’s not something a GM can assist with, and you try to get a ticket in using an unrelated path, you’re not going to get the result you’re hoping for.
When did you do those two bosses?
How absolutely confident are you that you did those bosses:
- this week
- on the particular character?
It wouldn’t be the first or last time someone has mis-remembered doing something in game that wasn’t quite accurate. Memory is fickle the best of time heh.
Good luck in your future gaming!
Did you kill the same boss on 2 different difficulties? That will only count as 1 boss killed for the great vault.
Yea figured that out no path to report it and there chat bots are just useless
which two bosses did you kill and on what difficulty?
GM don’t do the things you seem to think they do.
- They don’t review your account and give game hints about what to do next, how game systems like the vault work, where you are on a quest, etc.
- They don’t take bug reports, pass on bug reports, or fix bugs.
- They can’t give you vault gear for any reason.
- They DO use templates for most things as opposed to tying the same thing thousands of times, esp for issues they don’t handle. They will send you to other resources that will hopefully help resolve the issue.
IF it is a bug then you report it on the Bug report forums and it gets fixed when QA and Devs fix it.
If, most likely, it is a mix up on which char you were on, what difficulty you did the bosses on, how the vault system works - that is on the player to figure out how it works. They may send you a link to external resources you can check. Blizz has never given what they consider game hints.
Have you tried again today? Last night I couldn’t even get my vault to open at all. Didn’t even start the “Generating Loot for…” bar. I could interact fine with other things like NPCs, mining nodes, the catalyst, etc. I went and did my gathering weeklies and collected my roll tokens, and caught cats in my neighborhood. Then came back and the vault worked just fine. You could try a full UI reset, but I’d start with just going to another zone and doing some stuf, then come back and see. You could also /reloadui if you want. If that all fails, try the full UI reset.
I would also consider the suggestions posted here that you may have done the same boss on two different difficulties or that you did one of the kills on a different character. The template replies that you’ll get from the GMs are rarely going to give you any specifics. A lot of times, the GM just picks a template that might seem close to some of the keywords they see when skimming your ticket, and that template just doesn’t match your issue. Perhaps one of the moderators can look and see which character got the boss kills and which bosses were killed.
GMs don’t give game hints. But the Blizzard employed moderators in this forum give hints all the time. And I’m sure if they have time, they’d be happy to offer Itsy some insight as to what happened here.
Sorry for the frustration, Itsy. When it comes to a lot of gameplay related tickets the first response is often a general reply that covers the basics for that subject. “Loot Problem” tends to be issues where someone didn’t get loot so it covers the post master and all that entails.
While the reply is automatically sent, it isn’t a “chatbot”. It is a specific template written and selected for the type of ticket you put in.
If you had additional questions after that, you can usually reopen the ticket. In this case, any looting issue you may have had, if there was an issue, would be best reported as a potential bug. Game Masters aren’t able to assist with those.
From what I can see, you killed Rotmire twice. While they were different difficulties they count as one encounter for the Great Vault.

Hmm. Is that the usual case for all raids? I have no recollection of having been in a situation where, for the raid week, I only killed the same single boss twice in different difficulties.
Yup always has been.
If you were to kill Rotmire (or Chimearus) right now on LFR and Normal for example (and havent done any other raid bosses) and you hovered over your vault slots for raid you will see that it only takes in account for the Highest Difficulty kill for that boss.
This is because the raid vault section tracks the highest difficulty kill for each boss, not how many times you killed that boss.
Sounds good, thanks Voidarcane!
Most raids aren’t single-boss one-and-done affairs, so generally you just naturally get credit for multiple bosses by progressing through the raid.
There were several singletons in the Olde Days; Wrath of the Lich king had several by itself. But that was the last time until Midnight.
Now it’s just Chim and Rot that can trick you that way.
