All this proves is garrosh was the weak link in the chain, not wrathion.
they put out a short story series on the bnet launcher after WoD prepatch, and that’s where it’s from.
WoD is Wrathion’s fault? -___- he deserves to die screaming
LEGIT THREAD. I didn’t know this.
Which is why Blizzard really need to not bury major plot threads in outside material.
It’s actually the Old Gods fault because without them you don’t get Death Wing and without Death Wing you don’t have Wrathion.
I will fully accept this as the possible source of my knowledge.
Yeah, because Garrosh was proven to be such a great and reliable leader who would never go off the rails… right? Wrathion was delusional to pin his hopes on him and Wrathion bears the full responsibility for everything that resulted from his release.
Hmm…I guess Anduin was a bit annoyed that Guldan basically blew his father apart, and Guldan wouldn’t have even been alive if not for Wrathion. Plus Guldan was sent through to open the portal inside the Tomb of Sargeras, and if Wrathion hadn’t triggered the whole WoD happenings, this couldn’t have happened because the Guldan in this universe was dead.
It’s not a stretch really.
I’m pretty sure the very start of the old legendary ring quest in WOD explained this.
Ah War Crimes. My favorite part is when Garrosh tells Anduin that he’ll be such a failure as King his parents will wish they miscarried.
I love people who say this information was “from the game” no it was not. Even Garrosh escaping and all the details about his trial were not in game. We just saw a flash back of him and the dragon in AU after the fact.
We shouldn’t have to go outside the game to learn in-game things.
…Okay? I agree when it comes to the novels, but the reason I suggested Nobbel was because he makes videos that are well done chunks of lore from the game that you can learn on your own.
That made me laugh more than it should have but I thank you.
And Nzoth corrupted the mind of the once noble earth warder lol. Varian’s death= Blizzards fault is my best guess. I don’t miss Varians chin taking up the whole screen though. Just sayin.
The problem was that Wrathion’s plan was convoluted and relied on Garrosh agreeing to build a new Horde in order to help defend Azeroth instead of getting his revenge on the Horde and Alliance while accomplishing what he originally set out to do during MoP.
Garrosh went off script as soon as he had his freedom, kanked Kairoz on the hill overlooking Shattarah, and built the Iron Horde to conquer Azeroth instead of to defend her.
No need to worry about that. Anduin had a huge jump in his logic because of Nzoth emotional control.
Doesn’t mean there is no logic at all, but if you follow that logic- everyone is responsible for Varian’s death. Jaina can be responsible for that too.
Anduin is the one who doesn’t let his mind focus on blaming, even about Sylvanas.
It’s like when sth is so painful that you don’t want to accept it, sometimes you blame almost everything. That’s all.
Edit) and now I’m realizing that the focus of the cinematic is not what Anduin said. Blizz just wanted to make a situation in which Wrathion can say “My father is dead because of the Old Gods.”
Jesus how poor writing
As a horde, I respected Varian for his sacrifice. But, as a frequent user of Death Knights…wasn’t Tirion Fordring the true loss of Broken Shore-Wrynnfall?
I think his reason was not fear but creating things to happen that would have happened but make them happen sooner to get to the point we are at now I think he knew all along and planned to get us to this point to kill nzoth
