Look I’m indifferent on the whole thing, maybe leaning slightly more to having LFD in the game but I just want one valid reason that shows me how spamming trade chat adds to the “community”?
Make LFD server only, seems like the exact same thing?
All the dungeons I’ve done in tbc have formed the group, then no one says a word until we are done, we say “thanks for run” and that’s it. Is that community ?
Like I must be missing something. Not trolling legit looking for a legitimate answer.
The only thing I think makes sense is that, anecdotally, some people seem to feel more free to be an a**hole when they expect to have zero chance of ever seeing the people in their grp again. That being said, the benefits absolutely outweigh the costs imo, and they should add LFD.
with mega servers i don’t know half the people i grp with its not old 4000 player server its 50000 ninjas don’t get punished anyway so next explanation to why it could be bad
Ninjas don’t get punished on Classic server anyhow, and if you try to shame a ninjas in general your told to shut up and be more careful next time. They just make their own groups and keep being ninjas.
I don’t think people took issue with a same realm dungeon finder thing. It practically existed via addons.
I think issue is cross realm. Basically grouping with someone and never seeing them or the guild name again. Even on mega servers, guild names are recognized. It’s not necessarily about communication, but perception. If you feel like your among a smaller number of people, it’s going to seem more like a community. What feels more like a community? A benediction only discord? Or a discord where all realms are smashed into one?
