This is the consequence of nerfing delve gear.
No? in this hypothetical scenario, world quests drop heroic raid gear.
Delves get even more loot (mythic raid track) at 11.
And nothing changes for +8.
I think delvers will have less fun here. Do you agree?
Except you still need the practice and the score from 0-6 and you get way more chances at getting gear, and you get more Crests which you will need to upgrade gear. Are you somehow forgetting that fact?
Disagree, actually. Because Zekvir and limited time rewards exist. People would do WQs to get their gear, and then push higher delves than they could otherwise, faster than they would otherwise, more people would have a shot at getting the FOMO rewards.
And you know, Delves can be fun to just do them regardless if you get gear out of them. I mean, Bountiful Delves are the only Delves that give rewards, but sometimes we just do non-Bountifuls for something to do.
Then we disagree, and that is that.
People geared up from delves first. So there aren’t really rewards left in 0-6 bracket.
Partially geared up in Delves.
Did it ever occur to you that some people might do Delves and M0-6 at the same time until they’re ready for 7?
Because, you know, you DO need Score and Crests which Delves don’t give, and the gear from Delves is a bit of a leg up to help you to get 7 sooner?
And hey, get this, maybe if we improved loot rewards of 0-6, such as getting rid of Personal No Loot, then maybe it would feel more rewarding?
Making everything easier makes the top end feel less rewarding. And that, affects me.
I don’t think this has the effect you think it does.
People are arguing for personal loot in LFR.
Oh you want to add myth track to 11 and 8 stays the same exactly how it is now right? You want to go ahead and add myth track to 11 right now and make delves even more rewarding and change nothing else?
Oh, ok, so again you’re showing your true colors of being an elitist who thinks that nobody should get any rewards except for people as good as, or better than you.
Yeah, that’s the typical behavior I’ve come to expect from an M+ player.
I’m surprised it’s taken 400 posts on a thread to bring that out in you.
Obviously, I meant taking out Personal No Loot and putting in something that actually gives more consistent loot, you know, like at the end of the dungeon you’re guaranteed 1 piece of loot which is how it should be for all dungeons.
I want MY content to be rewarding.
And wanting difficulty levels to exist (and to offer greater rewards) has been something that’s been happening since vanilla.
Only m+ and delves buck the trend because raiding is sacred.
These forums are glitchy as heck sometimes.
I also want to give heroic raid gear to world quests.
I think delvers will have less fun in this scenario.
You can disagree, but this is what I think.
It is rewarding.
Your mistake is that you can’t resist the urge to compare it against something else that should be irrelevant to you.
We already have that. You get better stuff out of M7+ than you could in Delves.
Didn’t you tell me earlier in the thread that M+ did the same thing to Raiding already?
Did it ever occur to you that there’s overlap between different content pillars? Like how WQs overlap normal and eventually Heroic dungeon drops which has happened since Legion?
And every overlap, has been negative for content that is harder.
M+ affects raiding negatively.
Delves affect both negatively.
You know if you love Vanilla so much, they have this thing called Season of Discovery which you can play right now.
But, unless you are blind, you’ve surely seen how retail is way more popular?
Vanilla doesn’t have m+.
No, but it has the reward structures you seem to crave so much, and the absolute need for premade groups to do anything at all.
I acknowledge m+ affecting raiding negatively, but that doesn’t mean I want m+ removed. Rewards retuned, or lessened, or maybe some downscaling.
I do both though. m+ and raid.
Did it ever occur to you that Blizz WANTS content overlap to give players a choice of what kind of content they wish to run and/or to promote smoother transitioning between different content pillars?
I mean they’ve been doing it since at least Legion if not earlier.
Actually, one could argue they started it in Vanilla because some rep rewards were on par with some higher dungeons/earlier raids even though such reps required killing 10,000 mobs which took hundreds of hours, but it COULD be done solo.
Blizzard wanting something doesn’t mean players will accept. We can look to the history of failed grand plans.
Delves, might just be a one expansion thing.
Dude.
This has been going on SINCE LEGION. You know that expansion that nearly everybody praises?
Yes, Legion has the innovation of m+.
Now, we have delves, that has greater pushback, I think.
And like, we had visions before, and that DID NOT stick around. It was content people can do solo, for heroic raid gear equivalent.
And they keep trying to innovate stuff for solo players, probably discard it before too long as a failed experiment.
