US+EU elite count in comparison to PvE

I think it’s fair to compare to other highly regarded achievements in PvE shy of rank 1. These numbers reflect US/EU

These are current: (numbers will not be exact but close)

3v3 2400+ - 448 players
Keystone hero M+ - roughly 250K+ players
9/9 Mythic raid- 6320 players

Do we see a problem here? Do we wonder why pvp participation sucks? It’s proven that achievements/rewards drive participation. I personally think 2400+ should at least be closer inline with 9/9 mythic raid being the absolute highest form of PVE content outside of rank one m+ potentially. Didn’t care to pull RSS numbers this season probably similar to 3s give or take. Would like to see thoughts and maybe the moon turned blue and blizzard will comment.

in be 4 Kennie “2400 should be hard to achieve so those numbers are perfectly fine.”

Inflation is too backloaded which discourages early-mid season play.

You got me.

:dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Even so, by the end of the season all 3 of these player counts will continue to grow, the differential between them should stay roughly similar.

Since the last season of sl I can’t even find someone who wants to q more than 2 sessions.

they should just gigga inflate ladder so rank 1s and good players get glad season 1

like legit, take a graph of shadowlands season 1 or even season 2 tbh and match the inflation so that the weekly high ratings are consistent with eachother

i think that pacing was the best and it made a lot of people play the game

getting gladiator rn is like being in a top 10 raid guild, its just so fried

Yup its why more people just cba day after day

Yep, yet people day in and day out point at healing or x spec as the issue. It’s fairly obvious here why pvp suffers, zero reason there should be 13x more cutting edge raiders than ELITE pvpers we aren’t even talking glad or r1. So fried

9/9 Mythic is definitely equitable.

Keystone hero is a joke though. People were able to get that week 1 of the M+ season. Even the baddest of the baddies get that one.

A better metric would be people who are over 3300 io, which will probably still be way more than arena but a lot more similar in terms of skill.

How is it proven?

One could argue that pvp is overrewarded if you compare its participation to their pve counterpart.

uncharacteristic of Kennie to not come in here and say “2400 should be hard to achieve and therefore those numbers are perfectly normal”. :dracthyr_uwahh_animated: :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

No rewards and people do thing less.

Keystone master exists, hero would be the highest reward outside of rank 1. Not saying it’s hard it definitely is TOO easy that’s why I went more towards cutting edge numbers to reflect 2400+

uncharacteristic of Kennie to not come in here and say “2400 should be hard to achieve and therefore those numbers are perfectly normal”.

If that’s the case, won’t pvp be the content with the most participation?

Pvper get vicious mount just for participating
Pvper get courser just for participating
Pvper get elite set pretty much just for participating
Pvper get enchant for 2100
Pvper get tabard for 2400
Pvper get title for multiple bracket and r1
Pvper get another mount for 2400 glad

PVP is literally the content with the most amount of rewards compared to pve, by his logic, PVP should have the most participation at this point.

Yeah, and keys force feed people ilev. What’s your point?

Season 1? Sure.

This season? Nah definitely not.

I don’t ever really see it talked about much on these forums but it’s probably also worth mentioning here that:

If you PVE, then PVP gearing is still pretty prohibitive atm. With crafted gear, vault, and embellishments working as they do, you are FOREVER behind in the gearing process. It’s not the end of the world but especially early season you get slapped around pretty hard as a result.

You unironically need to have 2 characters, 1 for PVP and 1 for PVE if you want to keep up.

A lot of people just won’t bother as a result unless the rewards are season 1 free.

Dude you can just wait until the very end of the season.
Next pvp season is in falls, 1800 is pretty much free by then purely from the inflation alone.
