I remember that at Blizzcon, the spell book had class arts in it like this one: https://x.com/Peterodox/status/1815386908588999115
Is it cancelled or planned later?

It’s minor but i’ll take everything if it’s class or race fantasy.

One step forward (filter), two steps back (quest log and spell book).

Overall, these are bad changes with little benefit.

  1. The quest log’s zone headings are now twice as large, taking up unnecessary space. Why? That’s just annoying.
  2. We were used to the spellbook for 20 years. The clicks were intuitive. You knew where to find what. Why change that now? Why force people to change their habits? It doesn’t help anyone. Especially because it is being replaced by an inferior design:
  • The old one was immersive, clear, and pragmatic. You could see everything. The new spellbook takes up the entire screen. It’s not movable. Three spells in a row is too much. You can’t have other windows open at the same time, or look at what’s happening in the game.
  • The arrangement of the categories on the right side was genius. Neat, fast, organized. Now? You have to scroll down. In other words: Previously, I had a folder with four index tabs; now, I have two PDFs. That’s ineffective and no improvement at all.
  • And why have the spellbook and talents merged? It was better to keep them separate because it required only one click to access the desired information rather than three.

The Spellbook should be quick and easy to use. There’s no time for such nonsense.

I’m hoping for a humble addon dev to undo this.

Does anyone else think that the crab people should be canon and the Nerubians should be filler?

Please revert the dungeon and raid icons to how they appeared in the dungeon journal. It was more crisp and unique to WoW. Now, it looks more like HoTS or some other portal icons from other games. :disappointed:

I am very happy with all of these changes.

The new spellbook looks awesome. I’m glad I don’t need to swap between different specialization tabs anymore.

And the new map icons are a massive improvement.

Also: filters and search bars are a win. :sunglasses:

Does anyone have a picture of how the reagents are marked for old expansions? Is it just blue text below the item name on hover? Or is there a visual indication on the icon?

This is a great opportunity to borrow from some of the ideas popular world quest tracking addons have had for years.

The world quest icons on the map should show what their primary reward is (gold, flightstones, gear, etc.) and have a ring around them indicating the amount of remaining time of availability.

An optional “flightline” that extends a line from your position on the map directly out in front of your position to indicate your trajectory. This is nice for traveling large distances to avoid veering too far off course and makes it easier to multitask.

determine if you REALLY need that Rain Poppy you’ve been saving from Pandaria or if it’s really time to just let it go.

Did you… look in my regent bank? Because I feel personally attacked here.

what if im scared of spiders and crabs? /cry

Yeah this is a weird fix for me… I thought crabs and spiders were almost the same thing?

The greyed-out offspec abilities should not be in the same spellbook page, it’s clutter 99.9% of the time.

The UI changes are S-tier. Quest count uncapped when?

There’s a size toggle

I can only find a button to expand and collapse. My post refers to the collapsed version.

Unrealistic and will bug out the game. And thank god the developers doesn’t listen to some random people on the forums.

Hopefully the spell book is moveable/resizable; The talent window coves part of my action bar. Not an issue with talents because I didn’t need to interact with the bar, but with the spell book I need to be able to drag spells to it.

If its not I’ll either need an addon that makes it so, or go through a multi step process to change a covered slot (move the spell to an occupied accessible slot, close the window, move it to the covered slot, open the window again to fetch the spell I had to remove)

Blizzard, most people who are afraid of spiders aren’t too fond of arthropods in general.

Please change the Makura and Crabs to Furbolg and Bears.
