I’d prefer to finish all the story content while remaining within the appropriate level bracket. Not so much looking for “difficult” content, but I don’t want it to be stupidly easy either; things just start to feel stupid when the next level up causes you to start one-shotting EVERYTHING.
Which, unless you take measures to turn off your XP gains at certain levels, is EXACTLY what happens when you out-level content too much. After some testing, I found out that kicked in at around +5 levels for a lot of the earlier content.
So yeah, you’re still fighting the game’s systems when you want to enjoy the game’s story content (even if it’s of middling quality for the most part); especially for older expansions.
That’s something that can be adjusted then, though they should probably readjust the whole delve system in general, 8s are too easy for the gear they give
The issue is crests stop at ilevel 609 unless you do heroic raids or higher level m+. Crests are capped. All I would ask is allow us to upgrade the way we want. Getting into raids and M+ unless you play the “META” you dont get invited.
There’s a few workarounds for that funny enough but they arent fun. Its rated pvp or buying crafted max gear by paying someone to make it with their crest mats from a alt or something.
I’m confused by your logic here. Everything in the game is considered Borrow Power if your argument is you have to start over each expansion. Not only Gear, but Professions, Gathering Mounts, etc.
I think the difference between the Legion Artifacts, and Azerite Power, and SL Legendaries, is that you lost the ability to use those systems entirely at the end of the expansion.
I guess if you want to call Gear farming/upgrading as Borrowed Power, then I would think you would have to concede that is has been implemented in the game since the very beginning and if folks don’t like that sort of gameplay, I’m surprised they are still playing.
It takes 20 minutes for someone using gear that is from delves.
My warrior just steamrolls the whole thing at 8 in a single pull.
11 took a lot longer because the mobs have 100x the hp and 20x damage. Youre forced to use environmental hazards to kill them, because those do percentage based damage to mobs.
Same. I just stop playing when I hit the time when I can only progress via item upgrades. I got my full 603 set from the delves plus a couple of 616 pieces from the vault, did some upgrades from the currency I got so far, and I just switched to PvP.
Did you know modern, and even many older RPG had a scaling system? The games literally leveled up alongside the characters. Not just the levels either but the gear they were using, as well.
Don’t even get me started on souls-likes or open world games.
