It’s only a best value if you’re not already in the middle of a multi month plan. I normally pay month to month so this was a good buy for me and picked it up. But if you’re still in the previous 6 month plan it seems you would lose a mount out of this.
I’m on the monthly plan, am I entitled to these mounts after their time gate? Seems unfair to the ones already on a Sub plan. I have friends that canceled their monthly subs and just bought this 12 month sub thinking the same thing. I don’t have 150.00 just lying around. Sad Face

So, 1 year of sub. Maybe if both new mounts were available in retail. And what’s this about another 6 months? is this how we’re padding the number of players? So will the Murloc mount be available later just as a mount? We have this going on - launch, anniversary, and Hopefully, some sort of invasion before launch. You should make a tutorial of every single thing u need to do to get ready for the twitch thing. The statement assumes everyone knows how twitch works. Some of us don’t

Upgrade? Why the hell does it say upgrade when I keep getting blue comments that say “its not an upgrade” but an “Extension”… If you paid for the Prior 6 Month and Mount… You do not get an “Upgrade”… you have to “Pay in FULL” for the 12 months in addition… despite your previous 6 months mount being included in the new 12 months…
An Extension on the 6 months you already bought. You get the mount you already bought with the 6 months. A mount for Classic that you will never/barely use. But we will add another year to your 6 months of game time and a couple more mounts…
This New WoW Team that is Probably/Also the New OW2 Team by the looks of the sales pitches… Is Bad @ Marketing, Bad at what the people need to enjoy gaming everyday…

Day 3: Still waiting for a response to my ticket for a refund on my 6 month sub that renewed 4 days prior to the announcement so I can turn around and buy the 1yr instead since there’s no grandfather/pro-rated discount option…

So I have current 6month sub that expires in March, if I added a 12 month I wouldn’t get billed for it until then, correct? I surely wouldn’t want to have to pay for it now if I did it.
Feels like a punishment to those subscribed and a reward to those just now jumping on board. Its like giving the rotten sibling who did one good deed the candy even though you have been good all year and deserve it more.

I don’t understand your reasoning. You can sign up for the 12 months, too. Prior to this promo, the longest subscription available was 6 months. If you are already subscribed, the 12 months will start when your current subscription ends. The only down side (to me) is that you get charged for the 12 months as soon as you purchase it, even if it doesn’t start for another 4 (or however many) months.
You don’t understand the reasoning? I paid for 6 months and a mount when I could have paid for 12 months and 4 mounts… I dont want to pay for 18 Months and 4 mounts… They could have easily created an actual “Upgrade” and allowed you to pay the difference to “Upgrade” to 12 months from the Sub you are already on… Instead you are forced to pay upfront to “Extend” your current Sub… AND For those that already got the 6 Month Sub… You get one less mount because they included it ALSO in the 12 Month…

Update: I finally got a response from Blizzard Support about refunding my 6month sub so i could turn around and buy the 1yr sub.
So could someone please explain how 8 days of a 6month sub (180 days) constitutes “…a significant portion” of game time?!
FYI, 8/180 is 4.44% (repeating, of course)
Furthermore, I filed this approx 4 days ago, so technically it’d be 2.22% upon request for refund.
This is completely absurd and asinine.
Either give me the refund, or offer a discount for current-running 6month subscribers. I want to give you more money, but you’re essentially telling me “No, it’s not enough money.”
