Just did the same. I didn’t realize we could do that, since I purchased it a while back. $$ back in my pocket. I’m over the Blizzard cash grabs and half of an expac’s cycle being content droughts and lackluster content these last couple of expansions.

I don’t know, but I believe the 12 month will continue to award all of the six month perks. It would be odd to have to buy a six month when you’re already subbed for twelve.
Whats odd is to pay in full for the “New 12 month deal” when you just bought the “New 6 Month Deal” especially thinking you were getting a great deal and a cool new mount… Nope! The 12 month deal is the same Sub price and includes the same mount PLUS three others… Fooled you 6 monthers!.. Now PAY UP for the new deal so your Sub is locked in for 18 months…

I don’t like to be a Debby downer but why not make it cheaper than 2x 6 month subs? Why not allow people who are already on a 6 month sub to “upgrade” instead of add to it.
I know this small indie company is struggling and needs the cash but it yet again feels like they did this deliberately to try to get extra cash out of people before DF comes out in case it’s no good or to make it look like the most successful launch of an expac.

Only you can make that choice:
- If you plan on playing for the next year - Yes buy on the 5th (Don’t buy sooner unless you desperate for the mounts)
- If you don’t want to commit - Stay what you’re doing but realise you won’t get the mounts.
Personally I’m going to see how much I enjoy DF. If it’s good, i’ll likely keep playing even if it’s just battle petting etc.
If I don’t like it then I’ll probably pass and this might well be the nail in the coffin for me. I’ll let my recently purchased 6 month sub lapse (maybe sell my account to cover this cost if they won’t refund it - Jokes 
) and that’ll be the end of it. Who knows

Dragonflight would need to be a majorly compelling xpac for me to go for a 12 month sub… DF has some cool features but still lands in the “looks ok” zone for me.

bribery i tell ya im not paying for 12+ months just to get extra mounts when inflation is high and the economy rather buy the mounts separate dont have $$$ to waste

Right? I signed up for the 6th month and then 2 days later got an email saying “upgrade to 12 months” which is misleading af.

If Diablo 4 was on the plate I ~might~ consider it but really none of the mounts feel worthy of locking myself in.
I’m so annoyed at people seeing only one correct answer. There are so many things to consider with this condition. At the least:
- Are you expecting to play for the next 12 months and have the money? Yes, buy the 12 month sub and get the extras.
- Do you really love the extras and have the money? Go ahead and buy the long subscription.
- Do you think you might play the next 12 months and kind of like the mounts, and have the money? Eh, up to you.
- Do you NOT expect to play for 12 months? Depends on how much you like the extras. An individual choice.
- Do you NOT expect to play for the next 12 months, for whatever reason? Paying for 12 months seems silly.
- Are you NOT planning of playing solid for 12 months? Waste of money.
There are factors to consider. Anyone saying there is only one correct answer is self centered and needs to consider other points of view.

I knew I was going to play for next 12 months. I have enough gold and already bought tokens for 12 months. I guess for now I don’t get the mounts.
Change those 12 to 18 months for me (just got my 6 month sub before this was announced)
So, my question (since I haven’t seen it asked anywhere else yet)…
I already have the current 6 month rewards. When upgrade to 12 month, I get the next 6 month rewards, and the extra time is tacked onto my current sub. But, does the NEXT 6 month reward get tacked on too, since I’ll effectively be subbed for 3, 6 month, cycles in a row?
You would have to* get all future 6 month rewards.
