Something I don’t see anyone talking about regarding people who already have 6-month subs: Mine currently goes to April 2023. If I get the 12-month, I get the stuff from this 6-month plus the next 6-month plus the bonus, but what about the mount from the 2nd half of 2023? I would already be locked in until April 2024 and miss all the mounts that come out in that time. Seems like a big oversight at a minimum.

Kind of sucks that it sounds like we’re barred from the new Mounts because we were proactive with a 6-month sub.

I think it means if you have the wrym, you won’t get it again, but will get everything else
After choosing 12m, it states:
The 12-Month Subscription Special Offer will not re-grant any items previously unlocked on your account from the current 6-Month Subscription Offer (Nether-Gorged Greatwyrm and Tabard of Flame).

My sub is set to renew on December 13. should I wait for my December paycheck to arrive on the 5th and then upgrade to 12-month sub or take out a loan and pay for it now?
And as someone who takes months to yearlong breaks, should I even bother at all?

Would be nice to see things we can actually use in the next expansion since its the dragon riding. The mount for the drops is great its rare as hell but why not a special appearance for the dragons for these things. Id say a missed opportunity for the sub and drops.
You have to talk to an innkeeper to get the Classic items. I don’t know if it matters which one, but I always use the one in Stormwind or Orgrimmar.
Idk. I will use it hands down. I have 2 slots on my hotbar for mounts. One is my flying, another is my ground mount (this doesn’t include repair mounts of course).
So I’ll swap out some ground mounts with big chungus mrrglrrglrrg
The promotion isn’t really a reward for being a subscriber. Since they are charging for it immediately, this promotion is an attempt to get some cash on hand and lock players in for a year. (Not knocking this, just pointing out the apparent strategy from Blizz’s side.)
Since I’m reasonably certain I’ll be playing for a year (I already have a 6-month recurring sub). my only hesitation with this promotion is the timing. As has been pointed out, this is a horrible time to be spending $156 on my personal habit. I talked it over with my hubby, and he says there’s room in our budget, but I’m still not comfortable spending that money at this time. I’m definitely having to think hard about it.

How exactly is the 12-month offer the “Best Value” when it’s literally the same as the 6-month plan in cost per month and saving per year?

This might be alright to get if the 12 mth sub price and the 6 mth sub price for Oceania (Australia) didn’t cost the same price. Since the 6 mth sub price has only recently been increased, it seems the more likely that the 12 mth sub decreased to under around $200. Especially with most just forking out money to buy the current expansion, that normally comes with about 30 days of game time.
