An updated version of World of Warcraft is available. Please launch the Battle.net app to download the update.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue although it seems the game is fully updated with no option to click/update further?

yea same here. guess we just need to wait for update to finish? not sure whats going on. oh well. time to go outside

Same thing happened to me, but the blue post here fixed it. Need to uninstall battle.net and delete the files noted > What's with this error message?
And I did exactly that and it didn’t work… typical.
Yes. In fact, it switches over to the WoW Retail tab instead of Classic and wants to update Retail. I did that, all 10.5GB and now it still says an updated version is available, blah blah and now just switches over to the Retail tab in the launcher.
I suspect a new update will be pushed when the maintenance is finished to fix this. Because this current .exe we have definitely isn’t working.
It’s like two years old. Probably shouldn’t put all of your stock in that link.
Your bnet launcher will update when it updates, relax.

That’s great. I never said it wouldn’t work. Only you shouldn’t put all your stock in it. They also fixed it themselves. Just waiting a little longer fixed it all. 
same here but its not even close to 3pm pst and 6pm est give it some time.
Looks like they had pushed out something wonky in the first update, broke a few clients.
Time is money friend. If I waited till the servers came up then id be behind the eight ball. 
I’ve grown to not rely on Blizzard fixing things. Such is the company we continue to serve.
Technically they did fix it. But glad you got it to work all the same.
