Blizzard isn’t prepared for 9.1 telling us to prepare for lift off lol
for the first few weeks of earning renown, we got 3 per week, so it’s possible that it’s still just 2 weeks to get flying.
Oh there is a date, once subs dip more and interest in TBC falls off.
Maybe they’ll decide it unlocks with 6 month subscription…
YOU ARE NOT PREPARED.
So no need to do 100 World Quests or get your Rep up to Revered with all your Convenant faction? This seems doable to me! Although now I wish I hadn’t spent so much time grinding the World Quests, they take forever and aren’t very fun.
Why not just have it be unlocked day one of patch 9.1, why gate it for a few weeks AFTER patch 9.1 hits?
Ridiculous.
Because most likely 9.1 will hit some time in July and a few weeks later will be August which is around the usual 9 + months past launch they have given flying since WoD
This is really the crux of it. Having something open to all characters on an account only to make it cost an obnoxious amount of anima means it is not actually open to all characters on the account. Moreover, this is exactly what we have come to expect of Blizzard lately. There is literally ZERO trust left thanks to the repeated baits and switches we’ve been getting for years now.
It’s sad that it’s come to this much distrust. Blizzard really should work on restoring that trust, but they don’t seem to care.
I don’t care
Please clarify what the part of the post means about learning to fly on other characters?
I believed that once flight was opened on one character, all others would automatically be able to fly in Shadowlands. This sentence:
“This consumable item allows all characters on your account to purchase the Riding Skill needed to fly within the four main Shadowlands zones!”
seems to indicate that every character has to purchase a licence to fly in Shadowlands.
If true, this could well be a game breaker for me. Saying it would be account wide and then changing to “not account wide, you can do it but you have to pay for every alt” would have the majority of my alts dead in the water.
Please tell me this isn’t so.
Lol “prepare for lift off”
We wouldn’t have to if you’d stop taking it away from us.
Blizzard: “Hey guys don’t quit, look you can fly soon.”
Players: “When?”
Blizzard: “Hey guys flying!”
Incoming mountain of salt
NOOOO I’M ALREADY BURIED IN IT
“The worst of both worlds!” should be Blizzard’s new motto.
as much as i am annoyed about not being able to fly i think people are reading too much into it - as someone stated im fairly certain it is referring to the 225 riding skill - after all i’ve done it on PTR and once you got the item all your alts could immediately fly - including the ones i transferred across to PTR…
If this is the case it was written in a very poor way.
I’d like to believe that, but if it had simply been that flight was opened account wide, why not just say that?
The fact that there is any mention at all of having to learn something is what is worrying, especially at it appears rather targetted to Shadowlands.
The only thing that gives me any hope is the wording of the Memories of Sunless Skies itself, which says “Teaches you Shadowlands flying, allowing all characters on this account to fly in Bastion…etc”
No, it’s just as bad.
it’s not account bound and you’re still forced to do dumb fetch quest chains for hours.
You know what would be an improvement?
-Hit level cap
-Flying unlocked
There, will they do it? NO, they don’t want their playerbase happy, hence why retail is literally dead.
blizz seem to be hemorrhaging staff as fast as subs atm. its no wonder its going to be almost a YEAR from the launch of the xpack before the FIRST patch goes live.
do better blizz. if you make the game actually fun players will play it. just stop with all of the stupid systems already.
