Why post flying prerequisites without any dates or timeframes to indicate how long players have to prepare for the next patch? The dates are what players are looking for. Is patch 9.1 coming out next week? Is it coming out next month? Is it coming out in December? If dates aren’t going to be posted then I’m just going to stay unsubbed because I’m not going to waste my time and money floundering in Oribos during a dead phase with no end.

What are we without the skies?

Just a bunch of grounded ducks waiting and hoping the next leap is the leap home. Just think if Blizzard had released flight at launch I will bet subs would be either up or same at launch instead of tanking due to people out in the world flying around having fun.

But here we are stuck on the ground in a boring expansion that many have already “beaten” by beaten I mean got the covenant campaign done and max renown.

you will not want to fly - flying = bad. If you need a little help convincing yourself of that, here you go, miserable enough for you yet?

The story quests i Would never do, because they don’t interest me in any way. but i HAVE to do them because they lock crucial gear progression stuff behind them

I just want to m+, nothing else in this game interests me.
and questing was always something i despised, with a burning hatred.

Upon completing a quest contained within the “The Last Sigil” storyline, you’ll be rewarded with Memories of Sunless Skies. This consumable item allows all characters on your account to purchase the Riding Skill needed to fly within the four main Shadowlands zones!

Before today the info you gave us was

Memories of Sunless Skies, which unlocks flying in Bastion, Maldraxxus, Ardenweald, and Revendreth across your entire account for all characters capable of reaching the Shadowlands!

Before it says we earn it and get account bound flying and now you are saying it allows us to buy SL flying on all our toons ?

Really trying to gate that flying aren’t we Blizz

Either it is account bound if they make us wait this long or if they are going to charge us then it needs to come at max level . Not this we will make you wait 9+ months into the expansion then we will give you something that allows you to purchase flying BS.

I’m glad someone else noted the important word here. Or is it going to be some obnoxious about of anima to make sure alts don’t have it? Screw either option. :expressionless:

C’mon man, this is a big improvement over Pathfinder. Also c’mon man to you people complaining about no date. If they had one they’d say so, just relax for once. This is good news

You mean it is good that they are making us wait like it is a Pathfinder and instead of giving us something that unlocks flying on all toons we have in Shadowlands Zones , it gives us something that ALLOWS us to buy flying in Shadowland zones .

THis is pretty much making us do Pathfinder and and having to buy flying on top of that .

I’m gonna say they’re trying to cover their bases here on the off chance someone hasn’t yet bought the 225 flying skill. Yet, in their attempt to clarify things, they just ended up causing more confusion.

I think it’s really hard to expect the community to not be suspicious of that kind of wording given that renowns 1-40 gave us the opportunity to purchase many things, but never actually gave us the thing without an obnoxious amount of anima that nobody had yet acquired.

So, I hope I’m right about the 225 riding skill being the only thing needed to “purchase” the right to fly. However, given their track record in this expansion, it’s certainly not inconceivable that they would do something awful like make us grind another 50K Anima to be able to fly.

So it’s 3 weeks?

  1. Two weeks to get to Renown 44.
  2. Renown 44 unlocks Campaign Chapter, which is 1 requirement.
  3. Renown 45 (1 more week) + Campaign completion = flight unlocked.

So three weeks total?
