Purchase?! Jesus, how much anima is that going to cost?
Also… WTF? The whole benefit of the Pathfinder system to players is the fact that it DIDN’T cost any currency but was earned! But now we’re doing Pathfinder-But-Not-Pathfinder AND we have to purchase it? It’s like you’ve listened to the people that complain about Pathfinder and would rather just purchase flight and said, “Oh, you want to have to purchase flight, too? Ok! Here’s the worst of BOTH worlds!” Talk about missing the gorram point. It’s like you’re being willfully obtuse.
I like Pathfinder in large part because I don’t have to purchase flight, but now I’m upset. People that would rather just purchase flight are going to be annoyed because they also have to jump through hoops. Just because you want to pretend it’s not Pathfinder because you’re not calling it that doesn’t mean that we don’t seen through the BS.
People have been asking for the ability to purchase flight on all their characters since wod. So they added that to the requirements.
They need to keep people subscribing in the hope it’s coming soon™. If they released it now it would become apparent how far they are behind on future content.
I think this management shakeup with so many high level (and probably mid and lower level also) employees deserting the company has brought it to a standstill. They’re not ready to admit there’s an issue.
Hey, I’m surprised they didn’t start the article with a line: “You’ve been asking to be permitted to buy flight on all your characters again. We listened and we are giving you what you asked for!”
I think it used to be gated. I mean, when the content was current, you could get 2-3 renown points per week. But due to catch-up mechanics, that doesn’t apply today anymore. For example, I recently leveled up a warlock and completed the whole campaign and reached renown lvl 30 in the same week.
Well I believe it did say you need to finish the 9 new chapters of the covenant campaign which wont fully open up until 2 weeks after release. so there is that.
You need to get to Renown 44, and finish the second chapter in the new covenant campaign. So if you’re already at Renown 40, and have already done the campaign up to now, it’s 2 weeks.
If you’ve been playing since start and you don’t already have R40 and the cov campaign, ESPECIALLY if you complain about content drought, I have no words, but I do have a lot of rude gestures…
As if the purchase of flying must needs breaketh the bank, or Blizzard hath not the capacity to instituteth a proprietary currency for flight in a given expansion that would such a role in essence constituteth.
Dead?
Meseems it but purchased a haircut, new clothes and a ticket to a nigh town whither no one knoweth its name.
All I know is that I won’t have to grind more rep, and in the past, flying has come in a .2 patch, not a .1 patch. I only have to do new quests that I’m going to do anyway, rather than slave away with dailies every day.
It may not seem like much of a change for established players, but as someone who joined BfA after 8.2, I empathize with the ease that any new players will have in getting flying in SL, especially compared to WoD, Legion, or BfA.
