[UPDATED AUGUST 2] Shadowlands Season 4 Content Update Notes

Nothing says ‘‘I don’t care’’ like ignoring ANY KIND OF healer tuning.
Let those pesky mistweavers and disc priests ROT for playing the wrong spec in M+. ONLY HOLY PRIESTS AND RESTO SHAMMYS ALLOWED.

What’s that? A tank player who is not A BLOOD DK? IN MY GAME? YEAH RIGHT.

It’s so sad how little they care. Do they think people can just change characters on whim like its a moba? Wrong game blizzard, let’s try thinking for a second.

Don’t nerf IQD blizzard. Like, seriously. That’s another nerf to boomys and we’re already terrible.

You guys really need to think before you make changes.

is Zereth Mortis drops levels being increased to help new players get geared up?

If you look closely, the two main ones being nerfed are trinkets that won’t even be a (long-term) factor in season 4. The main reason for the nerf is so people don’t feel they have to hold on to a 278 trinket and other people feel they’re screwed because they either didn’t play season 3 or were unlucky and didn’t get X trinket at 278 (if at all) and then have to settle for 262.

OWS is just an insane amount of haste at 304 and was brought down to give other trinkets a chance for strength users, though a 10% nerf isn’t going to make a major difference there.

cannot believe fury war is not nerfed in pvp

Good to know there were ZERO Havoc Demon Hunter changes except for a nerf… stay classy Blizzard

How are we going into Season 4 with no buffs to Ret Paladins in mythic keystones? Does Blizzard even remember that Ret Paladins exist outside PVP? Evidence says No

your posts are comical and cant be taken seriously

I really love this philosophy of “make xyz worse because abc aren’t as good as xyz.” instead of, you know, make abc as good as xyz.

Hey what about DK nerfs and HPriest nerfs? These balancing patches dont make any sense when you just see a sea of red and white at the top the boards.

Agreed. Fury is the only spec in the game currently that feels like it always has CDs and their CDs feel immense.

Blade storm goes through RoP. Leap ensures that you can’t port away from them. Stormbolt nullifies one of my rolls. And anytime I need to cast mist (nature being my only school of healing) a good warrior just waits for focus tea to drop, kicks me and his out of window damage can kill me or a teammate. That’s not including their partner(s) CC.

Banner increases their movement speed. You can’t escape from spear unless you happen to be playing with a warlock (seriously… let me port out of spear.) Their damage is just too high for their uptime. Either scale the damage down or reduce their uptime.

I wish I could read whatever language you’re posting in. DH dmg is pretty high. It would be fine if meta didn’t last for 45 seconds.

I was really hoping this patch would be “just run any raid you like, kill a boss, earn currency, spend it at a vendor”
Its always some convoluted system with blizzard.
I would have been content running CN the entire Season.
I enjoy raiding and solo stuff. i hate M+. I used to enjoy PvP, but SL PvP is a S$#^ show.
S4 is just another raid log patch for me so I think ill skip this season and wait for prepatch.

Rogue isn’t a faceroll class. There are buffs and dots to maintain. Energy and combo point management requires a degree of skill that ret/fury/DK/DH don’t even have to consider. Decent rogues can put out decent damage. Bad or new rogues can’t just pick it up like you can a warrior.

You’re cute for trying tho.

Mate, DHs are able to constantly sustain 8-12k dps and has the perfect tool kit plus mobility. They deserve to have their damage nerfed considering the incredible burst potential of The Hunt or Fodder.

Demon Hunter, outlaw rouge, WindWalker, Elemental Shaman, Ret pally, Demo lock, all have insanely high up time on their burst and in the case of 4 of them can get their major offensive CD just by pressing buttons automatically AND out damage fury warriors during said burst. At least with Fury you can disarm them and make them useless.

They did nerf DKs and Hpriests in Pvp. What you on about?

nobody cares about pvp. look at rio its all bdks at the top. Season 2 was way more balanced. Hpriests are all people want too

Typical Blizzard tuning for PvE (m+): Tuning only 1/10 of what actually needs to be tuned, but coddling the 2 classes that were meta for all season 3 by compensating for their “nerfs”, while other classes that were 10x worse in m+ get nothing done.

On the bright side, it looks like shadow priest got a nice buff. Looks like they were the lucky class rolled on the dice.

  1. Not every arena team comes with a disarm.
  2. I said that they have the most sustained damage outside of burst.

I agree that those classes feel very bursty inside of their windows.
