So I payed the same amount as anyone who bought the Epic edition just did it as upgrades but I don’t get the benefit of credit as someone who payed for Epic edition because I payed in upgrades? Load of $%&$ Keep it.
the box looks so pretty…
but i play on a macbook pro without a disk drive lol.
if i had money i would buy it just for the box probably. and also a purely digital edition…i think.
not sure how the whole thing works
Damn if they have to come on the forum, its sell it people aren’t buying it, it’s there when you log in it’s not if people aren’t aware of it. SL isn’t looking good atm for numbers I would say. Sad.
Its up on Bestbuy now.
I just bought it through the Walmart link and it’s my first time so I’m not sure how I am supposed to get my key to upgrade my account to Shadowlands. If someone can help me out I would appreciate it.
No SL looks like rubbish.
key is in the box. wont be able upgrade your account till you have the box in hand. Which should be day of release
Wish there was a discount for people who already have the Epic edition, It would be silly of me to upgrade one tier for the current price
$120?? Every other physical collector’s edition has been $89.99. After the lack of quality in the last two expansions I’ll pass on this one. An extra $30 for what?? Get real Blizzard…
BFA’s was $99.99.
The reason it costs more is because it offers the highest edition of the game, that being the Epic Edition which is $79.99.
It then includes a mousepad, music track, art book, and pins.
Game - $80
Art Book - Probably around $15.
Music - Probably around $15.
Pins - Should be about $5.
Mouse pad - Should be about $5.
Previous expansions offered an art book, the highest edition, and a mouse pad.
Game - $70
Art book - $15
Mouse pad - $5
I already own the Epic Addition but I really wanted this too, If I planned to keep it unopened can i still redeem the key or will i have to open the package to redeem the key and get my balance back.
I feel, personally, that all that means is that the $79.99 for the Epic Edition is overpriced already.
Let’s see how the editions stack up against each other.
Base Edition - Just the game. $40.
Heroic Edition - Game, Mount, Cosmetic set, and boost. $60
What does the Epic Edition add? A weapon enchantment, pet, and hearthstone toy. Pets are usually $10. So the other two being $5 makes sense.
If you’ve purchased a digital copy of Shadowlands from our in-game shop or Blizzard shop, and want to upgrade to the Collector’s Edition, we will automatically credit you the cost of the digital copy in Blizzard Balance—as long as you enter the Collector’s Edition key before 11:59 p.m. PDT on March 31, 2021. When you enter the key from your Collector’s Edition, the credit will automatically kick in based on the original transaction on your account.
Btw, has there been any confirmation that all the digital items are still B-net account wide for the region they are redeemed in? I noticed the character boost now says “WoW Account” like it was originally when it was first introduced.
We do get 30 days of game time with the CE, and the most expensive digital offering that was not previously included (before BfA), but then they have removed the boost from the base game which is worth a lot more.
Never really used those boosts myself, so I have a whole heap stacked up, but it does seem strange to limit them on the WoW account level again.
Edit:
I’d imagine those boosts, that still say 120 on the product page, will be even less useful with the level squish…
Aaannndddd sold out by the resellers
no they are not sold out. Game stop, Walmart and both Best buys show they are still available.
I already bought the expansion, I just want the pins now… how do you get them??
