I prefer the existing flying. It is fun to hover and fly effortlessly. I will try dragonriding yet I hope flying as it exists in retail now will continue to be supported.
doesnât sound fun but sure blizzâŚlets do it!
They are account wide, all you have to do to unlock them on an alt is just go talk to any trainer and that will give you any points you have unlocked on your main.
Hmm. Well, I havenât gotten that far on a second character yet on beta. Iâll have to check that out.
Does it have to be a specific dragon riding trainer? I donât remember needing one to assign points after the first one.
Should work with any of them but as far as what Iâve been doing, as soon as you get an alt through the into and actually get to the dragon isles, youâll have all your dragon riding mounts that your main has already, but only 3 vigor and no talents. Then straight off the boat I fly to where they make you do the tutorial for dragon riding, thereâs a trainer there. Talk to her and boom, all of your talent points are available before having to do a single quest in the zone.
I donât really understand the point of the trainers seeing as how yes, after the initial tutorial you donât need to ever talk to one again, but anyway, thatâs what Iâve been using them for, just to get my alts instant maxed points.
yes, exactly⌠why cant they just give us normal flying and dragon riding? if dragon riding is so excellent, then surely people will opt to dragonride instead of just using normal flying?
me too
Cool story bro
Hm, Iâll have to copy over another character and try that.
I hope itâs not just a beta thing.
UPDATE:
I just took a second character to the isles, and as soon as I disembarked, I looked at the dragon riding tree and all of the points I had unlocked on my first character were there waiting to be used.
I also had the proto-drake in my collections.
So, IF this goes live it will definitely save some time for alts. I really hope it does not go away when beta ends.
So your comment is not you projecting your opinion on others? Its a disrespect to YOU and YOU alone. I donât see anyone else complaining about dragon riding at all. There is always one person that complains about a feature in game in every expansion and thatâs fine. However, If you donât like it or like the comments that come back to you about what you stated âin your opinionâ, its advised to keep it to yourself. I always say: Opinions and excuses are like A-HolesâŚEveryone has one.
I agree with the reflexes thing. I even had a hard time with the races for the Pandarian version where you raised your hatchling to become a mount. I had to re-try that at least 10 times before I finally was able to memorize where the rings were and turn in time to get to the next one.
Also an important thing about the dragon races is that people who own slow/lower end computers that causes them to lag a lot in game and put up with it just to play. The timed dragon races may cause them to not finish in time (depending on the amount of time there is to finish it, I never played in beta.)
I hope I am able to do this. Yea, even the point A to point B at first will be sad since I see a gathering node and want to drop down and get it but wonât be able to?? IDK. See you at launch and welcome to Lagville. hehehe.
