Likely be a late Oct release at the latest. Weâre already almost into Aug. Itâs not as unlikely as you might think.
Remember we usually get a month to a month and a half of pre-patch time on average.

Nah, not oct release, most likely Nov 10, 17th at the latest.
6 months of testing, 3 months of beta, oct 13 prepatch, 4 weeks of prepatch, nov 10 release.

I dread 8.3 grind, ugh.
I want the mounts so I will sucumb. I also want my uncorrupted voidwing, Brutosaur i dont really care about nor the rank 4 essences.

Ehhh Kelaini (possible misspell) has been looking into this pretty extensively and Nov release doesnât make any sense unless it was extremely early Nov (also unlikely due to holidays).
Latest Iâd give itâŚabsolute latestâŚis just after the Halloween event. Even then it still puts us at around a mid Sep pre-patch time.
Remember, pre-patch doesnât mean they stopped doing beta testing on Shadowlands.
Can you please Pin this @ the top in the forum thread also the 4 threads relating to the covenant so we can have easy access and make sound decisions??? This would be so helpful. I replied on those threads as well to have them pinned. Please Blizz?

Idk, nov 10 seems fine to me, 16 days before thanksgiving break. And raids would launch right on dec 1st, plenty of time for 2 weeks of progression before xmax break.
And they did say prepatch can only release when beta testing is done and SL ready to release.

Also they probably are going to time raid start-up just after the new year.
Can you tell us how much bad luck protection we get for the RNG Rank 4 essences that come from paragon boxes?? I literally just need those to achieve my title.

It was a blue post a month or so ago, I ainât digging that far back. But they 100% said it.
They are not going to launch the expansion in late oct/early nov like you think and then not have end game for 2 months, itâs not happening. If they were to do raid after the new year, youâre looking at a mid dec release, but then youâre running into having possible issues and no one at the office to fix them.

They wonât listen because it probably makes them money to instill FOMO (fear of missing out) in lapsed players.

Removed mounts, items, and content is basically why I stopped collecting anything a long time ago.
The 5m gold mount by itself is pretty shameless, but hey thatâs the Blizzard we live with now.

So, not only do you throttle ah players canceling too many auctions to try and deal with making the gold possible to get the longboi, but are now essentially taking out a full⌠what? month and a half potentially out of the few of us still trying to get the goldâŚ

Unironically you all should keep the rank 4s in the game (but obviously remove Azerothâs Champion title). Yâall are on a heavy trend to give customization to our characters in shadowlands. And I believe that keeping rank 4s you have earned in the game serve as âGreen Fireâ cosmetic options for spells of similar animations. So Purification Protocol replacing Solar Beam; Unbound Force replacing Arcane Missiles, etc.
Please reconsider taking those chase items out (but obviously remove the title). Essences have been a big draw for me personally to come back to the game with 8.2. And a big portion of my motivation to play as come from gaining rank 4s.
