Ya that ain’t happening

It’s an interesting case of how player recruitment pool is so important over racials.

The top of the ladder has a lot of alliance representation so it’s not they are “weaker” in an absolute sense, but with a small player pool getting good players is just harder and harder.

This is actually a bit confusing. Are you disabling the ability to obtain the achievement during pre-patch even for those who already had the particular essences that are going away? (Say if someone had all the essences but the paragon chest ones before pre-patch, then got the paragon ones during pre-patch, would they then not get the achievement?).

And why, if all this stuff is getting removed, is RNG still made to play such an extreme role for the Azshara and N’zoth essences? Plenty of people will have executed the difficult tasks associated with getting those essences, but will miss out on something being permanently removed solely because RNG didn’t favor them for the drop.

If you’re going to remove the Azshara / N’zoth Rank 4 essences completely (unlike the way mythic drop mounts are handled, which you let stay in as 1% drops when an expansion ends), then just make these essence drops a guaranteed drop for everyone in the raid rather than just 2/20 members. There’s no reason for RNG to be the deciding factor on these.

I agree, no reason to add layers and layers of RNG onto an already difficult achievement. The rank 4 essences should move to the vendor and purchasable if you’ve kill Mythic Azshara/Nzoth.

Why would essences, other than the two season based ones, even be missing during the pre-patch? Surely Vision of Perfection would not be removed as it is tied to a normal Mythic run of a dungeon, not a keystone? Furthermore, why has Blizzard not made plans to continue the only season-based essences, (Mythic+ and PvP) into the next expansion? Surely this would allow more people to work on this achievement, and, there is seemingly no reason to remove this, especially when it was out of the blue, not even giving enough time for people to truly pursue all the essences.

Yeah, that’s actually an even better solution, since it would mean people who killed it before, but weren’t lucky with RNG, wouldn’t be left out of the benefit of the change.

It would really be nice to see Blizzard react to the discussion here. The ongoing lack of response doesn’t give confidence that they’re even considering the feedback about why leaving something this RNG based when they intend to remove it permanently is a really bad approach.

No it wouldn’t lmao.

I do not agree with Blizzard removing the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur. However, making certain achievements like the Phenomenal Cosmic Power, Azeroth’s Champion, Mad World as well as the Uncorrupted Voidwing. Those are your rewards for playing through out all of Battle for Azeroth and not unsubbing. If you didn’t play during the expansion, and are mad at such being removed/unobtainable, it is simply too bad. Should’ve played.

I don’t understand why these are going away. Removing mounts is unacceptable.

I have been. That’s the point. How many paragon boxes does it take to get a rank 4? I still have not got the Island Expedition World Vein despite doing it EVERY WEEK.
The problem isn’t the removal. The problem is the system designed was not accomplishable before its removal. AOTC is something you can seek out to accomplish. Some of these rank 4 essence drops are entirely luck based. If it is 100% luck based, then gets removed after a rather short time; that’s kind of a crude way to set it up. It is basically an unachievable task unless you have good luck with drops. So to put it simple, obtaining this achievement isn’t effort or skill based, like downing a boss or getting a PVP rating… it’s like winning the lottery. That’s extraordinarily unpleasant for something that is a time gated achievement for a single expansion.

THAT is the basis of my complaint, with the removal of the rank 4 essences.

Is worldvein the only essence you are missing?

No I am missing several of the paragon ones as well.
So far out of all the essences from paragon boxes, I have managed to get 1, and that is from relentless grinding. I lost count after 20 boxes.

Took me like 4 Rustbolt paragons (only had to open one after the BLP that got added) and 9 total Unshackled (only had to open 1 of these as well after BLP) for those R4s…worldvein I got a long time ago.

From my testing the bad luck protection starts off small and then grows with each box. If we had the 8.3.7 ptr would recommend for you to copy your character over before each time you complete the quest to get the box and then see your chances increase (with like 20-25 repeats at opening the box to get probability) but they removed all rank 4s to simplify things on the dev’s end.

The “fortunate” thing I noticed that it you wanted to be a completionist for your rank 4s, the bad luck protection doesn’t decrease once you loot an essence.

As for me personally I am at the mercy of 3 drops for azshara and will be trying to kill her a fourth time on Sat. As for CnS, that is the what I am trying to work on now.

For everyone that has all the deterministic sources done I hope you get your rng rank 4s.

Exclusivity people, this is why we remove things. So we can have a sense of value and prestige. My advice is to literally get good.

Yeah, people need to prove they’re good at gold farming and grinding reputation for paragon boxes. You sure are in some exclusive niche there, buddy.
