[UPDATED AUG. 18] Time Runs Short: Battle for Azeroth

No. The game is trash.

I know they were removed but the intention as Long Boi. Long Boi is being removed the same way Disney would put movies into their vault. When those mounts were removed/changed however you look at it, it was generally seen as a good change. I know some people preferred the original plain look but they didn’t announce it months before to drive up Chinese gold farming websites profits like they are trying with the token and then have a BMAH where you could buy it for gold cap also helping the same Chinese gold farming websites.

They just made the change after looking at the mounts and deciding the elite mounts should look elite as well vs their rare slower counterparts. Just like the updating of Azeroth from Vanilla to Cata, or the removal of OG Naxx for LK Naxx. They didn’t make these changes with the intention of creating super rare items you could purchase for gold, which could be purchased for real money the same way they are currently doing. It’s the same reason why selling raid/vision runs isn’t frowned upon. They know it generates more token sales and are happy. I think people are dumb for paying someone else to play the game for them for virtual items, but Blizzard is basically actively promoting it by retiring items into the Blizzard Vault. It used to be a grey market, not it’s just part of the game for better or worse.

But will we be allowed to solo queue for islands like old lfrs?

I don’t know for sure what the general consensus was, but regardless, it wasn’t a good change. The old mounts could have remained for people to use them. There was no reason to just get rid of them for everyone. Sure, it’s not the worst example of removing things in the game. I’ll definitely give you that. I’m still not happy that I can’t get a mount because I didn’t play a bajillion years ago.

Eh, do you really think Blizzard likes those Chinese gold farming websites? I find it hard to believe they actually want them to succeed. Also, do people really spend money on gold to buy a mount for gold cap? I’ve heard of people buying corrupted BoE’s with tokens. I’d rather try to farm 10 million gold than pay that much money

Anyway, Blizzard’s stated intention for putting the mount on the BMAH was so a mount with an auction house doesn’t become too common. How would that even happen?

The difference is that those things aren’t collectable items. I don’t like those changes either. They should have kept both raids.

I just like how you added the Auctioneer mount to the going away list in order to slightly cover up the fact that Blizzard is only removing it to encourage people to buy tokens. Such an underhanded tactic, I bet that was Activision’s decision.

100% this. I understand occasionally retiring purchaseable mounts and such, but one of the main things that drew me into WoW in the first place was FOURTEEN YEARS of content to savor, enjoy, and catch up on. Now more and more, I find that content broken, retired, deleted, disabled. It’s starting to ruin the game for me. Everyone should not be forced to rush to end-game, lest the content they paid for go away before they catch up to it. I;'d like my alts to be able to play ALL of Draenor. ALL of Legion. All of BfA. Even though it takes time to get them there. Even though some of them were level 1 yesterday.

Purchasable mounts shouldn’t exist. The only good reason to remove them from the store is to make them available only by playing the game.

I was talking about the sites that existed 15 years ago for Vanilla. When they removed mounts and items before the token existed it wasn’t to drive collectoholics to purchase gold like it is today with the token. Just pointing out their intentions of items being removed in older iterations of the game didn’t have the same sinister microtransaction system in place for Activision-Blizzard to profit from.

I still doubt it’s to get people to buy tokens though. I don’t think more than a few people would spend real money on the Brutosaur.

Care to tell me what pressing content is being removed, snowflake? It’s mainly just mounts and titles that serve as prestige collectibles to show you did that content when it was relevant, not when you’re 10 levels over and can solo all of it. The content (I.E. dungeons, raids, island expeditions, warfronts, horrific visions) are all still available for you to do.

Scarab lord don’t make sense either, seeing how every single bug wants to murder you.

Well obviously you never played them all if your missing the removed items. Kek

The WF’s pop like crap these days after day 1 as is.

Normal and heroic. People not seeing heroic WF crews posting a lfg try to scare up people in the normals lol. I had many normals power rolled because it was bored heroic level peeps with nothing else to do.

I was only in this crap for weeks to get my medallions for the priestess sabre mount. I got that mid week finally (yay ME). Haven’t touched this stuff since.

it made much more sense than “aserot shampion” when you’re just winning the casino rng and pvping to 2.4k.

but sure that’s like your opinion

I would say that removing content is not the way to get the new players they want to add to their subscription lists. If a new player works their way up through the game, it now appears that he/she will not have the same game we now play. Given their advertising and the videos that players have placed on youtube and other sites, the draw that will bring in new players is lost if the content is removed. Therefore, the answer to your question is any removed content is pressing. While you may not need it, others who are still coming up from below do. Just because you have all the action of said content behind you does not make it any less special for new subscribers.

If you’re talking to me, “snowflake”, you’re the one getting hostile and offended. As for the content, I was talking about storylines, not rewards for them. I was talking about actual content, not just combat. When was the last time you played through Pandaria? How about Draenor? Did you bother to actually immerse in any of those stories, or did you skip the dialogue so you could get it over with, earn your xp cookie, and rush on through to 120? A whole lot of those stories have been broken, so you can’t actually follow them from beginning to end. Some of us are less invested in the loot and points, and more invested in the lore. Maybe you shouldn’t jump to conclusions.

Gallywix must be making BANK lol

only off those that want the r4’s otherwise it’s a huge waste of money… nobody is going to remember essences until bfa gets timewalking.

Pretty sure its not that they wont remember its they will try very hard to forget this abomination…

Not really interested in you removing content/rewards for no good reason. Especially because you do it so often now.

To hell with your once in a lifetime mounts.
