they should just re add them to naxx somehow… make them hard to get but give people an alternate way to trying to snipe certain pieces from the bmah. the bmah sucks now as it is, could definitely use a rework
I remember when they added back the original pvp titles some of us original rank 13 or rank 14 complained about that and even got angry that they gave away for free the weapons and armor appearances to people that only got to rank 10, but after some time i understood that those things were only “special” when they were current content. After some time i heard that blizz added the original ZG Mounts back in the game and i thought that was a good thing because many people never missed a ZG reset and never saw any mount at all because RNG is cruel, i ended up farming around 5 tigers for my siblings and can confirm that RNG is really cruel, for example my vanilla guild never saw any corrupted ashbringer at all, i tried again in classic and history repeated itself.
When you play long enough you see many things removed from the game or that people worked really hard being significantly easier like old pvp xmog, ZG Mounts, old legendaries, original Insane, world bosses Mounts, TCG stuff, etc… If Blizz add something back or make it easier to get and you feel that directly or indirectly affects you, don’t worry, it only hurts at first, there will be more happy people than not and that is a good thing for the game imo.
I imagine they would have to design tier equivalents for monks, DH, and Evokers, and a lower rez version of the WotLK DK set, and that is why they are not going to be available.
But boy I’d give my left nut for that warlock set.
It never was; these are just colored pixels on a computer screen.
Did Blizz announce that the Naxx sets are indeed coming to the trading post?
Yes.
No, don’t care at all. I used to run groups through in bc and while it wasn’t cake and you still had to attune it wasn’t impossible.
I think that some things should stay rare. The idea that everything should always be obtainable makes none of it have value. People complain about fomo, heck I do sometimes, but if you have nothing to work towards them you never bother to even start. There’s a lot of psychology behind this.
However, naxx was up in bc, in welfare epics… err… pvp gear you could coach a bunch of lemmings through it, there was no reason to remove the raid entirely, and I always thought it should never have been removed. The idea that corrupted ashbringer is likewise this elite status symbol to be held to a higher standard is, I mean it’s a weird choice. Considering they have not done this with any other raid items.
The whole thing is bazzar, they flip flop all over the place.
They aren’t avaliable as Blizzard loves FOMO and punishing players for playing alts.
I think most people mistakenly believe that original naxx items are equivalent to real rare/prestigious items like the Contest winners tabard, scarab lord, CM, Gladiator Rewards, Trial of the Crusader mounts etc… But no matter what people think of naxx, it was just another raid not that much different from the wotlk version. I completely agree with you, it should not have been removed and imo its a step in the right direction to put the original loot back where it belongs, all of those items were just normal raid drops or quests rewards.
This right here.
There are people playing this game today that weren’t even alive when those items were obtainable. Why should they be left without a fair shot at them now simply because they did not exist in the world?
I feel nothing should ever be removed from the loot or drop tables. It makes zero sense.
Ok slow down oatmeal tryin his best cant dog a homie for being made that way.
Nothing strange about it, people wanted X so they can’t have X. You can have everything from that content except for X because stuff you. We’re going to sit here and give you the middle finger until the lawyers running our company force us to include this highly desirable thing in some promotional profit scheme.
Try yoctoseconds.
The only items that should be unavailable are challenge items.
Oh, they are, we’re just not the ones that get to decide which things should remain sacred and which should be given away like confetti. An example would be the old AQ legendary mount, a whole bunch of devs got theirs when the gates “mysteriously” bugged out or were made available for opening again on new servers and Ion even went out of his way recently to give himself and his buddies an updated model of the mount (even though such a tiny fraction of the player base has it).
I’d be willing to bet just about anything that Ion wouldn’t allow the quest chain to become available again, because it’s something that he actually cares about, and that’s all that matters to him.
I mean, yes.
Exclusivity is quite important in games like this.
Why do you think these Naxx mogs are popular? Why do you think Dreadnaught armor goes for millions of gold?
If everyone can get something easily, and it’s old low-pixel art, it loses most of it’s value.
Well that and its not like this will break the game.
Its cosmetic. Bonuses are ripped out.
To get the full shock and awe of this stuff some need to install those other wows on the launcher.
I’ve met the naxx fit twinks in the 50 to 60 bracket of wrath. It did not go well for me if they were on the other side lol.
Newsflash bro, it’s pixels on a screen. Nothing you do in WoW has or has had any value whatsoever unless you’re a Venezuelan gold farmer supporting your family by selling in-game currency for irl money.
There are plenty of guaranteed/easy to obtain mogs and mounts people still go out of their way to collect despite having no clout attatched to them. No mogger that simply wants the perfect pair of pants to match their custom set gives any crap about whether it’s a trash drop off of level 1 Tallstriders in Mulgore, or off of a raid that was removed from existence 15 years ago they just want a nice pair of pants and you walking past them in org aren’t going to notice the difference if they’re wearing le uber doober used to be unobtainable item that Blizz handed out via post, or if it’s the real deal.
Grow up man, people pay and play the game just as much or more than many people that obtained the originals of these back in the day and they have had 15 years of exclusivity already. If you’re buttmad bc someone gets or wants access to a random helm mog you got and haven’t even used since you got it you’ve got some issues
Perfect, so you agree with me then and you have no problem with things staying unobtainable, it’s pixels on a screen so it doesn’t matter that it’s no longer available.
Glad we could see eye to eye, Bro. :Fistbump:
Nope, but no joke I sleep better knowing the spergs that infest retail can’t touch my T3. That and my OG Wintersaber are about the only thing I cherish in this game enough to ever log on again.
T3 Sets can be crafted in 10.1.5
Guess you’ll have to come to terms with this
And now they’ll be able to be crafted just like the ZG sets
Ah, too bad for you
Thankfully not a required crafting mat!
I guess you’ll have to find something else get you to sleep at night.
