It is blatantly strange. What Blizzard chooses to grandfather, and which items they don’t.
I’ll be blunt and honest here: This kinda stuff had me a little scared/shook, because I own several unobtainable items/mounts, and I was EXPECTING to see some of them again.
I got these items when I first played Vanilla as a kid, I’m a man now lol.
Naxx stuff is back? I expected to see the Argent Dawn tabard again somewhere, obtainable. They brought back most of the old naxx appearances through weapons and armor (except Corrupted) and I thought the tabard would just be a part of this.
I’m wearing a tabard that’s identical visually-speaking.
Blizzard only seems to care about prestige from certain old items, it appears.
Noth in naxx 80 used to bug out alot, making him unable to loot even if you reached the corpse on teleportation location.
Then some reddit person made a ticket and got answered like a month later regarding noth loot and the gm did send him lvl 60 unobtainable noth loot instead.
Could be fake but probably true on how classic is handled
An example we can see of this is s3 gear and wotlk weapons aside from wrathful were removed at one point because they were useless in terms of ilev but eventually brought back for collection purposes and quickly became just another thing.
Doesnt matter just add them in the game hurts no one and doesnt hurt the game.
We’ve already tossed out lore/class restrictions. Now its time to open the rest up besides most people wear the same gear anyway when mogging probably wouldnt see half of it anyway
For my personal opinion, I kind of wish they’d made a connection with WoW Classic, so you could unlock Naxx-40 appearances IF you completed them in Vanilla (not even TBC).
I think that would have preserved much of the “prestige” of the items, while still being something for players to aspire to.
It’s too late to really close pandora’s box on this one, but kind of a shame they could’ve have done something to “retire” armor appearances once their expansion ended, except during Timewalking. I think that could’ve injected a lot more excitement into things, and also make the various Tier sets seem more impressive.
The only thing I would consider “sacred” is scarab lord.
Corrupted ashbringer was just another purple drop. Unlock everything, Challenge modes, pvp gear, illusions and all of that really shouldn’t be fomo’d. Brutosauar was legit a last second rug pull so that should come back too.
In Runescape 3 they are still worth tons of money, but in OSRS they went the no-fomo approach and party hats drop around christmas time every year so they are pretty cheap
And some people raided the real naxx and got the set that you are now being a poser in, so how exactly are you more special than anyone else?
Your post is so hysterical, I seriously can’t believe you even typed it out. “I spent money that other more talented players raided for, so because I spent gold, they need to stay available for gold only”… just absolute lol.
The T3 sets are available and have been available for some time. You aren’t special for buying them, and the fact that you think you are is laughable.
The unavailable ZG sets, which were never available for sale at any point so arguably being even more uncommon that the T3 sets, are now available through ZG. The same needs to be done with the T3 sets in Naxx.
And for the record, no, I don’t agree. I didn’t cry about the HWL sets becoming available through RBGs, I didn’t cry about unobtainable ZG transmogs being made obtainable again, I didn’t cry when Tyraels Charger was added to the cash shop, and I didn’t cry when it was added to the treasure goblins.
You think because you are greedy and believe yourself to be a special snowflake because you spent gold on something (again, something that people raided for which you didn’t), that everyone else must be as well.
They’re still 100% available. Just because you find that truth inconvenient for your narrative doesn’t make it any less true. Now if you want to argue that the medium for obtaining them isn’t equitable when compared to the ZG class sets then you’d have a decent point.
Let’s be honest here. Aren’t you acting like just as much of a snowflake? Because it seems to me that you feel that you’re entitled to access to everything just because you pay a sub. A sub gives you access to the servers, it doesn’t give you carte blanche to everything you desire.
Limited time only promotions and whether they’re right or wrong aside, you’re behaving just like the very type of people that you profess to abhor.
Well, there’s like 500 of them on the forums who pop up now and again, trying to epeen a topic. Just have to catch them raging about whatever. It’s fun when they try to start insulting others.
