Can you guys believe that shamans still use visuals from Cataclysm (current classic version). Even back then, the ascendance model didn’t make sense at all.
In comparison to warlocks, mages and S priests. Shamans (elemental) look like the original wow alpha, so boring.

Play more retail. None of they visuals are from Wotlk. With the exception of AmS but who cares about that.

There are some shamans in the alliance using the ascendance model. 
Although we could finally replace the model with the primalists armor.

Which doesnt make any sense, for Ascendance they just used a very common mob model from dungeons and raid from Cataclysm, lazy development If if may say.

Well they certainly look like they belong in wotlk. Some of the defensives like that one that puts a lich head above your character model has so few pixels I can count them on one hand…
Well, that’s because for Ascendance, you become an Elemental Ascendant, it makes sense that the model would be similar or the same.
They do need to update Shaman visuals though.

When I first got to the dragon isles on my shaman and started fighting primalists I was embarrassed at how lackluster my abilities looked compared to theirs. Sure my boring plain spells wasted them but I’m the very experienced shaman here. How come this night elf who doesn’t even come from a culture of shamanism has this flashy cool fire elemental that makes mine look like it’s from the bargain bin

I’m willing to bet Blizzard will eventually add Ghost Wolf, totem, elemental, and Ascendance customizations in the Barber Shop.

Not exactly a common model but it’s concept among the Twilight Hammer for it’s power has been forgotten. We don’t even see the form return among the Druids of the Flame, Dark Shamans, Primalists, or Dark Irons.
edit: Iridikron might be the closest now that I think about it.
It’s likely. What I’m less sure of is when.

The primalists wouldnt be caught dead using that form with elemental masters.

If it wasn’t so common, the primalist armor might be a transformation. 
Slow down on the demands. Shaman just got some updates after like a decade.
You need to wait at least another 5 years before asking for anything. Be reasonable would ya?

Yeah, I really never liked the “ascendant” elemental model. Even back in Cata when a bunch of the enemies used it, I thought it looked kinda silly. It always felt a little too different from other elementals, and I would much rather take the form of a proper fire or lightning/wind elemental (such as the ones we summon) than an ascendant.
