Never have I ever said or lived by what you’re saying - I don’t require anyone or anything to tell me how I feel. How about you go troll somewhere else, yeah? /clap
I’m simply stating that if someone plays a game that much and has plans to continue playing but refuses to play the game in modern day there are reasons. These reasons probably have correlation with the major shareholders ditching Activision/Blizzard. BFA was obviously in Alpha/Beta stage upon release and the player base was on average fairly unhappy because of it.
Have we all seen the YouTube video? The survival guide to patch 8.1 was received badly. Gamers are people who tend to speak their minds and don’t sugar coat anything. They made their opinions of BFA very known. Asmongold is one of those people who love the game but are disappointed.
It’s no different than the political silos people are living in where they only listen to fox or only listen to cnn. People want to hear what they think parroted back at them.
I’m not sure it’s about telling people how to feel, but a bellweather of how many feel… like the canary in the cave mine.
I watched one of his videos the other day. It was about a “mount off” and since I’m an avid mount collector, I was curious.
The way he talks is so annoying. He calls everyone “bois” and he can barely say something to someone without insulting them. He also has some minions on his channel that do nothing but praise the very ground he walks on. For example, someone in his feed thought Asmongold was cheating because he was using mounts that were no longer in the game. One of his little minions went off on this guy, swearing and yelling. To me it was just a difference of opinions, especially since the person he was competing against had mounts no longer in the game too.
I would give his channel a 0/10. Would not watch/listen to again.
If you paid attention and actually watched him you would know he didn’t quit, but he is filling time with other games since wow has run out of things for him to do, which suggests your post is yet another troll post.
Relevant to you? That’s fair. He’s relevant to me and that’s all I’m concerned about when it comes down to speaking on you and I. I believe you make subtle attacks on people because you’re miserable. And fair play. But I recommend you go be miserable by yourself instead of spreading that crap on the forums. Thanks. /moo
To each their own, correct? There are people who enjoy obnoxious individuals. Just like there are people who enjoy soft spoken individuals. I don’t enjoy that part about him, but I do enjoy that he loves WOW deeply (as I do). I enjoy that he’s intelligent and reasonable (which I’d like to think I am). So on some levels I can relate to him, but Asmongold while in goofy mode is tolerable. /shrug
This is accurate, I am fairly new to participating on the forums. I’ve been playing on and off since 2006 and have 625 posts - I don’t participate much. But the state that BFA is in or at least was in during release not only freed up some of my time but also encouraged me to share my thoughts and ideas.
Strange how that works, right? You’d think with so many people speaking bad about him that he’s a bad guy. When it’s actually just a compilation of people’s opinions. It’s unfortunate but the opinions of a lot of people are rotten and ill informed.
The only time I actually listened to him through a whole conversation was when he somehow appeared on a stream of some YouTube personalities that I listen to that had nothing to do with WoW or gaming. Some quasi political thing between youtubers who had it out with one another and for some reason he was in the stream.
Didn’t agree with him, but didn’t have any reason to hate him since he didn’t chimp out like some of the other people.
They are now actively playing Dark Souls (the original version, not the remaster) and while they have staggered quite abit (infact he nearly rage quit at Sen’s Fortress) but after beating Smores and Oreos (the Anor Londo boss) he’s quite fond of the game and is planning on playing Dark Souls 2 + 3 as well.
Meanwhile on World of Warcraft he’s not really doing much in the game anymore. He does some mount+tmog runs along with some other BFA chores when he starts the stream which lasts him about 1 hour and 30 mins on average. He then just closes the game and goes back to playing Dark Souls for 3-7 hours and based on how they have been enjoying themselves alot more playing Dark Souls (they said it themselves in a stream) It’s kinda obvious that he’s slowly moving away from the game.
Personally, I don’t really care for the guy but the fact is-is that he is/was the most viewed WoW streamer on twitch and if they do eventually leave the game. That’s not a good sign for this games future. So regardless of how you might feel about him. The moment they fully commit to departing from this game (like former WoW streamers did along while ago) will mark a turning point for this game.
