Update Graphic Driver

Forget this post, I took measures and solved the problem, thanks for the technical advice everyone, have a good game.

I’m not sure I fully understand what your suggestion is here. If you mean that Blizzard should release graphic drivers, that’s not something that they do or have any control over. That’s something to ask of the manufacturer of your video card really.

If I’m misunderstanding, my apologies.

It is unlikely that Blizzard would do this. Computer maintenance is on the user. Blizzard does not write drivers for video cards. Video card manufacturers do.

That’s not how this works at all.

How would you like to buy a new system with new Expansion? I guess its always nice to buy brand new equipment, if its no problem on your finances and you can buy ahead of time etc…

Not a great analogy, but…

That would be a bit like buying a Marvel movie on Blu-ray and expecting Marvel Studios to somehow upgrade your DVD player.

O.o

I’m really not following. My computer is a couple of years old now and runs the game just fine.

Not sure what hardware drivers, which are developed by the hardware companies, have to do with Blizzard releasing a new expansion.

Sorry, I really don’t get it.

are you complaining that your machine is not up to spec?

WoW has always had a very wide compatibility with a lot of computer setups. But the march of tech forward does not allow it to be infinitely compatible. There has to be a cutoff, and sadly some will be on the wrong side of that cutoff. It is just the way computer games are, and always have been.

You don’t need to buy new hardware. Hardware manufacturers regularly update their device drivers and software.

They are able create all these new expansions along with the “higher graphics demand”, why not give us the graphic code to play it instead of buying something new every time, …or is that the plan?

Is it the plan to continue making newer, better games with improved graphics? Yes, yes it is. That would likely be the goal of just about any gaming company out there.

You want the source code to wow?

You will need new hardware in a few short years, wait & see.

This isn’t a new concept to owning a computer unfortunately. Yes, they keep improving everything and eventually your system is obsolete.

That’s why people no longer use the original Nintendo system too.

If your hardware drivers are out of date, you’ll need to download updated drivers directly from the hardware manufacturers. They’re free, you don’t need to buy anything.

What point are you trying to make? Of course we will get new hardware. Cost of owning a computer.

Yes, I understand how innovation and upgrading works. I don’t think you do,and I don’t have the patience to continue trying to educate you.

Good luck to you. I hope you have a computer-literate friend or relative that can spend the two minutes it takes to update your drivers for you.

You can get common drivers for free at the driver manufacturer’s site and they also got auto detect software you can download for help.
