I was just thinking I wanted a new Survivor game.
The Survive game boom has gone now but we never really got anything great from it.
Its a MMO type game…you can build houses…make furniture…outfit your self with different clothes…you can fish…mine…make machines to make your camp area better and bigger…its very easy going game …you will see other players in game and can chat and make party with them…
Probably the only one right now is Starfield. I’m still butthurt that Bethesda sold out to Microsoft and it won’t be coming to the PS5 along with Elder Scrolls 6. No way in hell am I buying an Xbox so I will purchase it on the PC.
I played the older Armored Core games as kid. For sure looking forward to this
Honestly that’s the only way to play a Bethesda game anyways.
You need the fan-made optimization mods to make the games playable lol
I’ve still got a bet going whether TESVI or the Beyond Skyrim project will finish first.
Wait… ES6 isn’t coming to PS5? What in the hell Bethesda…
Nightengale is an upcomming survivor/crafting/building sorta game.
Sorta victorian era aesthetics mixed with fae.
I’ll probably try D4 and BG3 if they go on sale for the holidays. Not “upcoming,” but they’ll be new to me.
Honestly I think Ghosts of Tsushima scared them off from making a Japan AC for a bit
I don’t remember the timeline but….
Word came out the other year or two ago that they would be selling to Microsoft. I knew right away what was going to happen. They would lock out future games from the PlayStation. Some time went by and they did a press release saying they were going to focus future development to the pc and Xbox only to “make a better game.”
I was like yea yea stop it with your horse💩.
Yea the modding community is huge and they do fix a lot of the problems with the games but I was looking forward to flopping on the couch to play it on my ps5.
How is it?
I played the crap out of those games, but that was 20 years ago, and the 20 year older me isn’t as jazzed as the 20 year younger me might once have been.
A lot of customization. A lot of replayability. A lot of screaming at dice rolls. A lot of fun.
If you like turn based combat, DnD, party based games, fighting everything, or even talking your way out of everything. Its fun.
You have been waylaid by enemies and must defend yourself!
(Starts playing epic music)
Yep. It does seem to fall into the same trap that a lot of RPGs do where peaceful solutions (eg. intimidating bandits into going away) don’t give you equivalent XP (or loot) as just murdering everyone though.
Nightingale looks quite interesting…I’ll have to ck that out …trying Palia right now…closed beta but open beta come August 10th…
Yeah. Its a tricky balance imo. BG3 does give some xp for non violent solutions. But its not quite the same. And there is always the loot aspect as well. Thats not something that could easily be translated into a peaceful solution. Would like to see the peaceful xp bumped up a little bit. The loot itself would still make the fighting option “better”.
You have my attention…
I want to see what that unannounced survival game from Blizzard is going to be about.
I’ve tried so many times to get into GW2 but I just can’t do it
