Upcoming Australian and New Zealand Dollar Price Changes for World of Warcraft Services and Subscriptions

Hey,

20% increase across the board.

You guys really do hate OCE don’t you? Just come out and say you want to shut down OCE already. Must be killing your bottom-line having these servers.

Thanks for scaping us yet again.

Of course when the AUD was near or above parity to USD you did not change prices either from memory.
And in 6 months when US economy will probably tank due to tariffs etc - will we see a reduction - not likely.

Billion dollar companies don’t care about cost of living, it’s all about as much money as possible, ad Infinium.

I’m happy with the prices and think they should have moved them up by an extra 25%

Remember when South America were paying about 20% of everyone else’s sub fee. Yet we get slammed for being on OCE.

Oof well this definitely puts wow out of an ongoing subscription range for me, once my current one expires ill go to a couple of months a year at most. Might help me just break my completionist mindset for good finally

Prices can only ever go up. They can’t go to a shareholder meeting and say that they’ve raked people over a barrel for a year and then just decide to take less money.

edit: well they could tell shareholders that, they just won’t. no one does.

In an era where subscription model games shouldn’t even exist, and the existing price is a high cost to bear, it’s extraordinarily poor taste to slug the ANZ playerbase for such a cash grab while the AUD / NZD are performing weaker against the USD.

Unfortunately I’d bet there’s no price drop if/when the AUD/NZD vs USD situation starts to trend back to normal.

Money snatching grubs.

Best part is they lock the post so no one comment.

Looking forward to a price decrease when the AUD recovers just like the previous times right guys?

On that day, I’ll drive on the bridge from Vic to Tas.

Interestingly they are happy to jack the price up when the dollar changes to make that needed. but back when we had a strong dollar we didn’t see a price drop…

Absolute Joke. I wonder if token price will increase to compensate? Probably not…

Does this mean NA price will be increasing?

Ive been looking for an excuse to quit, thanks Blizz

In fairness to Blizzard, AUD$23.99 is EXACTLY the current conversion from USD$15. Chill out.

“Its not enough to make some money. We have to take ALL OF THE MONEY”

This is the mantra of every CEO on earth. because shareholders… funny how the price of everything going up can be attributed to the greed of shareholders, and the greed of the C-suite in terms of their bonuses…

another saying. " For some to succced many have to suffer "

Let’s say they increase the US price of a normal sub to $18, that means they’d be making those with AUD spend $29.

I only play Classis so I wish they had a cheaper option for just classic players.

Paying $20+ a month for a 2004 games is on the extreme side
