Tempered Potion recipe: undiscovered [This recipe uses Mycobloom, Luredrop, and Arathor’s Spear]
-does wild experimentation with Mycobloom, five times in a row-
-blows up, five times in a row-
After doing alchemy on all expansions, DF crafting system killed alchemy for me. Trying in TWW and find the cost and grind way too steep. Failed system
Video games should be fun, this is not fun.
“Video games should be fun, this is not fun.”
Nailed it. In contrast, my other toon is an Engineer, and TWW engineering is a blast! (But not literally, like alchemy lol). Tinkering can cause malfunctions and issues, but just straight-out-the-gate engineering is SO much fun. And I’ve made a few items that have been useful and/or sell well, just by pilfering parts or sorting through junk.
They can make professions fun, they just chose not to for alchemists.
I am almost there too. Stopped bothering with Wild Experimentation and just use Meticulous once a day.
Now all I have to deal with it the mountain of mats I will need for cauldrons each week.
I am not sure how much it mattered but I put points into the herbs that were in the one I was missing and used those herbs while experimenting.
And yea, all of the farming for cauldrons. Life has been stressful lately and flying around on my evoker gatherer while listening to music is so satisfying.
Prolly helps a little. The base chance is so eh, that anything else will help. I unlocked the herbs I was using as well.
Heh, and yeh, I have been doing much the same. I made a gathering alt and just fly around and hover up everything like a oversized vacuum cleaner. Guild will help with the mats I can’t quite get enough of, but I like to chip in.
