Unsubbing, WoW tokens, boosts

Also false. I can have a civil discussion with people who disagree with me.

I talk down to people who do nothing but cry and whine

I doubt it. I know your type. Any disagreement with you is always “crying”. Any criticism of the game you don’t agree with is “whining”.

Both boosts, and bots, have been around a lot longer than WoW.

I honestly don’t really care what your opinion is.

If you responded to me with an actual valid argument we could discuss it.

However all your posts do is cry about stuff that’s not even relevant or an issue.

Just because something isn’t relevant to you doesn’t mean it’s not relevant to someone else. Ah, how could I forget. You’re self centered as well. Its only an issue if YOU think it’s an issue.

Capitalism as it exists currently is not terribly compatible with gaming. I think that’s why you see a lot of Blizzard’s old guard dispersing into indie startups that are still within similar circles of people (not counting the abusive rats fleeing the spotlight while they can).

Put another way, maximizing short term profits where games are concerned is like a race to the bottom.

Complaining about tokens is the WoW equivalent of complaining that some people are born to rich families and you werent.

Tokens dont affect you and bring more good than bad.

The irony coming from you.

I also have had my mind changed on things like the PvP gearing system.

Again you dont have any room to talk.

That’s the thing though - the only thing getting boosted means, as far as taking a spot goes, is that you’re taking another buyer’s spot.

You know what, I can see someone in this community getting mad over that.

that’s appeasing investors in a nutshell. They’ll turn a producing field fallow for $1 extra. Burn out a motor for short term gain.

Tokens affect the entire game. Either you truly don’t understand or willfully obtuse.

Oh? Why’s that exactly?

Maximizing broad game appeal vs. maximizing profit extracted from players. If EA, Activision, Ubisoft, etc. put more emphasis on the former, their reputations within the gaming community wouldn’t be so firmly situated in the dumpster.

Why I tend call this p2l. Pay to lose.

Now I don’t fault or judge people on it. Its their time and their dime.

Well that and like with pvp rants. I see no sense here. Payer gets 2100. Cool

they paid x dollars to now slum it in unrated like I do. to save their ranking as they can’t back it up non carry. lose ranked, lose rank.

So they slum it in unrated. I do that “for free”. we’ll throw out the sub fee for arguments sake lol.

Not top damage dealer…can be squished easy at times. But I get fun nights. All that matters.

Really don’t understand the amount of people that don’t understand why the WoW token is in the game and why it’s a good thing….

Before the WoW token all this gold buying and boosting stuff was just done by 3rd party websites and just led to accounts getting hacked constantly to steal the gold and sell back to the community, which I’m sure was a massive headache for blizz constantly getting peoples accounts and items back.

All of you blaming blizzard have obviously never been part of a boosting community and seen first hand the endless swarms of people that buy boosts. The problem is on the lazy playerbase that don’t care to actually learn how to play their class and clear content themselves, and for some reason would rather just constantly reach for their credit card and somehow find value in a full achievement list of nothing they’ve ever actually earned.

Why is blizz going to get rid of the WoW token which is guaranteed money being pumped back into blizzards pocket, to instead get rid of it and deal with 3rd party websites cashing in instead while creating more work for blizz with hacked accounts.

The only thing I will agree with is the LFG and trade chat being plagued with booster sales. Don’t get how hard it is to put a system in that prevents this. I know there’s addons to help with blocking it but they don’t seem all that effective. Dunno why blizz can’t just add in a channel purely for buying boosts that you can join or leave whenever you want.

Yet they dont because if the token was removed nothing would change. Literally nothing.

Because every single one of your posts is a whine post focused on you.

I dunno man, the tokens really make it easier for me to make alts. I’ve already made like 3 characters, I don’t wanna burn myself out.

The real endgame starts at 60 and, luckily, I can get a guild to help me with my rotation and gearing.

WoW had the most subs when none of these tokens or boosts existed, when these services came out subs dropped. A good game can make its employees money like it did for years only with a subscription and not tokens or mounts that cost more than the base game itself.

It’s people that literally pay to not play the game that are making achieves, and other time consuming tasks not mean as much anymore. “How does anyone else’s behavior or decisions effect you?” It’s an MMO, every choice players make effects the economy, the meta, everything.

The rumor I’ve heard is that in 10.0 instead of listing boss abilities in the Dungeon Journal it’s just going to have price tags.

Boosts existed, tokens didn’t but people still bought gold, they just bought it from 3rd party botters and hackers.

lol, so you were okay with susanexpress all these years.
