Unsubbing, WoW tokens, boosts

WoW tokens, boosting, bots. The gameplay in this game has become as perverted as the company that makes them. I can no longer support this company after seeing how it treated its employees, the hearthstone winners, and its dedicated player base that takes this because we love a game that no longer exists.

I’ve played since TBC and after returning from a break, and seeing that WoW tokens, blizz boosts, and outside boosters that claim “gold only” but are fronts for RMT are running rampant, I can’t in good faith play anymore. Disgusted by the state of the game and how it’s turned into a whale fest.

Might I suggest you try daybreak games Everquest2 for one billing cycle…after …attempting to play a game that is a genuine whale fest toxic pay to win for 30 days … you may find the world of warcraft universe much more comfortable again .

Then I hope you will never play ANY other MMO game ever. Because every MMO has boosts.

Anyway, it’s okay not to like something. Some folks tend to care too much (imho) about what happens to others. I play for myself. So I couldn’t even pretend to care about those who use RMT. Has practically zero effects on me and my gameplay.

Good luck out there.

MMOs aren’t for you then because all (except tokens since almost all the other mmos are f2p) of the MMOs have boosters (as in player boosting) and bots.

Why are you so worried about tokens? They don’t affect you at all. It is funny how much some people are bothered by tokens. So if someone buys raid runs and gets a piece of gear how does that affect your game play when you don’t even know who this person is? Also, how does someone buying a WoW character boost affect you? Oh yeah. It doesn’t.

SWTOR offered boosts. Also, don’t be surprised as other mmos release more and more expansions that they will be doing this too.

In the end, it just sounds like you are sour grapes and you worry wayyyy too much what other people are doing. Probably best you are unsubbing.

Well, um… Eh…

Welcome to the age of the Credit Card then. I don’t feel like checking every MMO for a boost to really confirm.

Boost =/= card swipe only.
Boost is basically any player helping any other player in any shape or form, player that has already crossed that difficulty threshold.

Oh you can’t kill Bloodraven in A1Q2? Level 60 hops in, 1 shots her. That’s a form of a boost. Or you missing a portal to somewhere - player passes it on to you === boost.

You are a newbie to CoD or LoL, so you play with Plat friends and they win the game, it’s technically a boost as well.

That’s how I see it.
People get carried in every game since MMO’s ever became a thing.
Every MMO has some form of tradeable currency that is sold online for $$$.

Just my take on that.

Could try making friends? At least then you could play with a group of like minded individuals.

Because it was so much better in TBC when trade chat was filled with gold seller ads and the streets of Orgrimmar were lined with corpses of bots arranged to spell out the URLs of gold seller websites.

The WoW token exists to stop these things, and it did. Nobody cares if you want to go back to a worse version of the game.

100% this. I laugh when people call wow pay2win. They dont know what a pay to win game is. I have played them. They are not fun at all unless you invest about 100$ into their store lol

Wow is getting more like SWTOR. Pay to look cool sitting on this mount. Soon enough they will have a tmog store. That would NOT be pay to win it would be pay to look cool and Im fine with that model

Bc all the token did was give blizzard a piece of the pie… they decided to save money by not combating bots and bring in the token to makes some of the money the gold sellers where making.

No, but it certainly stopped them from ruining the game with bots and advertising. Because the 3rd party gold seller market is now tiny in comparison to how it was in the days before WoW tokens.

You only need to look at the difference between retail and classic to see how effective the WoW token is at making 3rd party gold selling less obtrusive.

100% this. Gold selling/buying has been in wow since vanilla. Weather there is a legit way to do it or not it will always be there and there will always be people doing it. People act like when Blizzard added that it was something new. It wasn’t. Only thing differant is now Blizzard gets a cut.

Oh yeah and you dont have to use really money to pay for wow anymore if you don’t want to. A nice added bonus

I take it you dont use the group finder then? And you play on a small server then as well… they are still there and you go to many places and see bot druid farm trains.

No they didnt stop it. They never will. They just operate at a reduced capacity now. So its less noticeable on smaller servers. Go look at Stormrage or Area52 trade chat or even illidans. Then try to tell me its gone
