I love WoW. Played since Vanilla. My friends have all unsubbed. I have finally decided after 10+ years and two accounts to say bye.
I like competition, arena was always my favorite aspect of WoW. Like all sports, competition is only fun when you have an equal opportunity to win.
I’m not talking about class/spec balance. A guy like me who now works full time wants to enjoy WoW. Well too bad for me I dont have 40 hours a week to grind gear and covenant junk. So I am left with one option. Get beat by equally skilled players who have time to grind.
We had PvP vendors with resilience or PvP power, why did that change? This was solved 100% and I had the most fun I have had in WoW. I am not a Gladiator, I’m a duelist many times over.
I watch the streamers and they just gear and que dodge each other. When Smexxin or Cdew start to que and it’s against a team they can’t beat, they either use their addon to dodge each other or they use a different character to beat the team comp. I think Que dodging is unsportsmanlike and I don’t have time to gear up multiple classes, let alone one. So those with skill and absolutely no life outside of WoW are the only people who get to enjoy the content to it’s fullest. I have a life nor would I want to grind gear and rep for hours a week only to be out geared by someone who can put in double the hours I can.
Old times you used to struggle to gear at first. Then you were done and could focus on finding players and working on skills. I never felt like I lost a game because I had worse power than my opponents. Now I think that’s a huge factor.
If blizz ever wants me back they are going to have to scrap the new gearing/grinding rng system.
I want PvP vendors with gear that is going to be better for PvP no matter what raid gear is out (PvP power/Resil).

Sorry but the current gearing system is great, I understand that you and your friends couldn’t overcome the challenges of this season but it doesn’t mean the rest of us are struggling
Hope you enjoy Fortnite or w/e game you end up going to

I think you’ve built up all these blocks for yourself when you could overcome them by improving your game play and cutting the excuses.
Gear doesn’t mean half as much as you or anyone else claims it does, coordination, attitude and consistency do.

Gear means absolutely nothing. You can be item level 145 and absolutely annihilate any 220 item level player, regardless of the gap. They don’t hit 50 to 80% harder than you. You’re delusional if you think there is more than a 5% damage difference between item level 145 and item level 220. You can go to pvp in green gear and reach 2k no problem. Quit the excuses.

Lemme coordinate my way out of a 30k Templars in a DR stun rq.

You should definitely try doing that. Avoiding 30k templar verdicts is very possible just use pillars.

Your hyperbole doesn’t help your case.
If you notice I didn’t say it means nothing, just that is it less significant a contributing factor than people make it out to be.
Gear does matter but NOT as much as consistently practicing.
wtf are you talking about? I agreed with you. If anything, your low grade self made a huge understatement. Try harder.

You’re right. Gear doesn’t matter. That’s why venruki and his 3k healer buddy couldn’t get out of 1300 with with new toons. Man I’ll remember what you said next time when a rogue opens on me and I’m at 5% health b4 I even see him. I just have to coordinate that much better

What was your teamate doing during this whole time? What happened to your defensives? Where are your peels? How did you play before hand to let yourself get into that position? Could you have picked different talents? Could you have chosen a different legendary?
I could go but I hope you see my point.
What was he doing b4 an instant cast was used? Probably healing. Probably using Los tools to the best he could. That doesn’t make a damn of difference once the hoj comes out and an instant 30k followed up by a 20k templars. His teammate could have also been ccd. It’s crazy how that works.

I know you weren’t but using 145 vs 220 doesn’t make the 1300 hard stuck players see reason, you know what I mean.
A closer case of 207 vs 220 would highlight the problem just as well without seeming ridiculous.
This is the problem, you think having ilvl 160 should enable you to get out of 1300, thats just a ridiculous and unrealistic expectation.
The system is well designed as is - 200 ilvl enables 1400, 207 enables 1600 etc.
There is a clear designed sense of progression that works if you’re willing to improve as a player and stop expecting to be handed everything for free and with no work.

You’re bad if you think gear matters at all. Nice try troll.
Well you just provided examples of how his play could have been improved to not be put in the position in the first place.
If his partner was in cc then he should have been expecting damage and use a defensive or done something about it.
Ah yes, I am the one who is trolling…
Please stop posting this trash. You think you’re being cute but you’re really just a big loser/jerk. Most people are already sick of you.

They think if you’re not also crying about gear disparity or w/e other made up issue they cry about this week, you’re a troll as well
