If it were one or the other, you’d have a point. But a few fresh TBC servers releasing alongside the pre-patch won’t hurt anybody, much the opposite.

Blizzard never needed to choose between progressive servers and fresh TBC servers because they can just do both. It’s the same server with the same patch with the same phases. There’s no extra work involved.

Ah, I get you, now. It’s, also, a possibility, according to their own data, there may not be “enough” to warrant “fresh” BC. Not ragging on you, just stating other possibilities.
Please, don’t twist my words. I said “the majority” wanted PROGRESSION. And, that’s exactly what we got. All the other stuff like paying for Copies or Boosts is Blizz trying to make extra money. I’m grateful to have the option to PROGRESS ALL of my Characters in BOTH BC AND Classic 
In turn, the “executives” listen to the “fan base” as well. Whatever that “majority” is, they’ll cater to it for the most money. That’s just how it is.

Though, I didn’t mind the concept of “fresh” BC, I wasn’t against PROGRESSING into it, either.
Blizzard can open new servers anytime they see fit. There is no point in speculating.
I could care less how long you have been on here.
I was playing wow classic from day one and I don’t brag about it.
If you don’t think a lot of people want fresh I got nothing for you.

I’m pretty sure that there will be like minded folks that will utilize forums/reddit to start fresh on dead servers.

Me presenting the fact that I’ve been around on these forums for a LONG time wasn’t meant to be taken as a “brag” but credibility to the data collecting and research I’ve been doing (personally), in order to conclude (as accurate as possible) what people REALLY want. And, I’m telling you, not a lot was in favor for “fresh”, I’m sorry.
I don’t think this “a lot” exceeds passed those who weren’t in favor for “fresh”, no.
I am reading. There’s more complaints against the Boost than those screaming “fresh”!!! I’m sorry.

Because it’s an endless cycle of want. People crying for “fresh” servers for the last decade or more, whether true wow or private servers, are never happy. They want a fresh server, and when that one is no longer “fresh”, they want another do-over, and then another, it’s just a vicious cycle, it’s pretty obvious why wow doesn’t go this route.

Yep. In the private server community you see people screaming “fresh!” a month after a new server just released, because they weren’t able to clear time to nolife the day of release.

Im sure they will add new servers to handle the new wave of players, but im highly doubting they make them exclusive to new players. That would be DoA
Im really struggling to believe masses will unsub over this. If you really are looking forward to tbc you will be there when it drops regardless. You may grumble but youd be there since this “fresh” thing is only a phase. We were “fresh” in classic too and everything went to hell in a hurry. Its only fresh for a moment then its used and bloated. You’d be clamoring for more and more fresh servers every few months as the new ones became like the old ones. Its just not a cycle worth getting into
If something this minor puts you off entirely to the point you refuse to play…well it was just a matter of time before the next thing had you quitting anyways so oh well

I guess I’ll just add that I agree in that I think they should do fresh servers for the folks that want them and for those that are hoping to see fresh servers it’s still early on so who knows. Still might happen.
