So? Some person could pick up all 20 peices of loot for the ten runs, the loot distributions will still 20/5 and average be 4 peices of loot per person. But that doesn’t realistically mean that you’ll even get a single peice because the lucky guy with all the RNG got most or all the items, and yes it can happen.
In a group is irrelevant, I’m simply stating how it works out. Obviously RNG plays out as RNG does, but regardless of how many runs you do each drops 2 pieces, that fact doesn’t change.
For you to be unlucky, someone else has to be lucky. Each time the chance of getting loot is always the same for everyone, it’s absolutely impossible for noone to be getting loot which is what people are implying.
I never used to get loot, even in BfA when doing M+ runs. The chance was higher but that didn’t mean I was always getting more loot, that’s just how RNG works out. Every time you roll you have the same chance.
Oh absolutely, but that doesn’t mean on average a player isn’t realistic looking at 4 drops.
There is a 40% chance to get loot every run, over 10 runs you should get loot 40% of the time theoretically. Obviously that is not always how RNG works out, but it doesn’t change the fact that players had a 40% chance.
never thought i’d see the day when i prefer bfa over another expansion… OP is spot on point with everything he said.
Yes theoretically, but also no because a such a thing as probabilistic independence exists. Each time you enter a dungeon you do have a chance at loot (40%), but the probability to not get loot is much higher (60%) and you face this probability of not getting loot each time you enter each independent dungeon run, regardless of how many runs you had before that.
Theoretically you can also enter 20 dungeon runs and each time hit the 60% probability of not getting loot.
That’s why doing 10 dungeons and telling people they should get 4 peices of loot isn’t realistic.
I mean I watched Gingi the other day do 36 Mythic plus keys and he got 2 peices of loot.
Probability is a fickle witch and streaks are entirely possible and do happen.
This is something you expect people to pay blizzard to do? Seriously? This is a ‘fun’ activity to you.
Really enjoying SL.
ugh, getting only 35 anima and repair bill every mythic+ run is like a slap to the face: literally going 5+ runs in a row without a single drop is such a drag. all this wasted time, gold, consumables, and effort for NOTHING over and over is incredibly lame. the odds i get an upgrade is so low it’s insane. i am almost at the point the OP is at, that’s for sure. blizz just doesn’t care i guess. blah.
It doesn’t change the fact that someone is getting loot though.
Pretty sure Gingi and that are pushing untimed keys as well right? Which is also going to drop the amount of available loot.
Yeah I don’t know about you but I’m not ok playing for 4 hours and getting nothing for it.
You keep mentioning work in a video game. I work also in real life the difference is I make money for my time.
In game I’d like something for my time. I’m not asking for BIS to rain from the sky. But I’d like SOMETHING besides 35 anima
Interesting. How old are you, I wonder? I’m in my 40s, so presumably not what you’d call the ~instant gratification generation~, and I think SL is terrible. I’ve unsubbed because other than grinding out the maw mount I’ve barely wanted to log on for weeks; now that’s done the xpac’s done for me. I’m out.
Also, noted that you like SL but you’re also in support of an insurrection. Nice to know that’s the kind of person who enjoys SL.
Coconutzz are you married? If not, would you like to be?
I haven’t the patience to grind it all out. Been here since BC, and am just sick and tired of how these xpac’s keep going. I have seen that this xpac is grindy, gatey, garbage, and I’m just not going to waste my time or money. I am un-subbed. And planning to revisit Skyrim (SE) for awhile. Be back in 2 years or so to see if Blizz wakes up and gives us something worth playing again.
