just chiming in again … i was able to “wiggle” out by spamming backwards+jump upon logging on at least 4-5 times in a row to move away from portal … perhaps tackling some other tasks today whilst they fix this issue would be a wise idea … happy hunting

Just take the servers down!!! It is unacceptable for some of the player-base to be unable to compete in an MMO for over two hours. Who knows how long this will go on for.
Same here…! Put in ticket for character unstuck and it seems to have vanished.
Wish I could do that, but I never make it passed the loading screen

I made it out. Just keep relogging and backing up, took about 5 attempts and I achieved my freedom.

I guess wiggling out of the spot is the only way to get passed this bug for now! Good Luck everyone!
when you say backing up did you log out next to the portal?
i logged in and im not by the portal everyone! give it a shot
Not everyone can get past the loading screen. I get “World Server is Down” before anything loads at all. This is not acceptable as the solution Customer Service is providing at all.

After reset i did a dungeon then tried torgshast and ended up in the endless loop. Tried to start my monk in sl and stuck at the black portal.
im kinda angry this stuff happens i had no idea the service was down and my character is stuck there cuz i tried to complete a quest for the rune carver …
same stuck in a loading loop
yeah I can’t get past the loading screen I don’t think Ill be able to spam a backwards or a jump
whats weird is I can play my other character no problem and he’s in the maw…
Stuck in an infinite loop right now. I went into the portal for Torghast, it stuck me in a 0% infinite load screen, which kicks me back out a few minutes later. But, because I’m standing in the Torghast portal, and the portal teleports just by standing in it, I end up automatically thrown back into the loading screen.

Heads up for anyone reading this, it’s happening on multiple fronts. I got stuck on an endless disconnect loop just walking into my covenant area on a mount. Logged in on an alt thinking it needed some time before another attempt as deleting folders didn’t work, and I can’t even get my characters into Shadowlands.
I’m glad I wasn’t doing anything important at the time, but I feel bad for those that were that ran into this problem.
