Yeah idk i’ve been working on my brutal set and don’t really see it lol
Reporting someone who you feel is a weak link for your team is a common thing in retail too though. Not uncommon to see people in chat tell others to kick the 20k hp geared people when the team starts losing
Ya its gotten worse in season 3 and 4, everyones hp is 85k-110k now and boosted/questing gear still gives fresh 60s 21k-25k hp for some reason. Most cds do more than 25k damage so its effectively one shots see salt over basically being undermanned
Right, so then are you saying its okay to report players who don’t do the bare minimum effort of going to ZM and buying a set of 226 anima gear as gameplay sabotage?
If thats the case then is it okay to report level 61s in AV as gameplay sabotage because they didn’t do the minimum effort of levelling to at least 66?
Words have more than one meaning. Here’s a webster dictionary of it.
With all the changes this game has gone through (and I hardly PvP), aren’t their literal pathways to go atop BOTH bases? Like, from the main middle tunnels and then make a right, and the path leads atop either bases?
Or cheating via:
to violate rules dishonestly
There’s no rule that says “don’t be lazy” . Though, AFKing in a BG has its own report category, it can still be considered “cheating”.
Oh, Raiimer. I have you on ignore, on the forums for a reason. Seeing as how someone quoted you in an obvious attempt to respond to me, whatever you folks call “get gud”, “baddie”, “cry more”, etc., doesn’t change the intention of what I said. They’re not nice things say nor should be said.
And, unlike the forums, the in-game ignore is weak and has a cap. I’d have no reason to ignore you, if you actually behaved in an appropriate manner.
Also, the ignore feature is not a substitute for reporting, like the chat filter is not a substitute for others to curse. Those who rely on these features are just trying to get away with rule breaking. Obviously, you’re afraid of the report feature, for a reason. You must be breaking all kinds of rules, for a long time and are now finally getting caught.
Don’t break the rules, be respectful of your fellow gamers (even if you disagree with them) and happy hunting.
I mean, I’ve seen videos of DHs doing their jumps to an area on top of the Alliance base in the grassy area directly above where the flag is. Not the pathway to the roof.
I don’t think this would be unpopular and I definitely agree with you. I mean, how can you determine what would be a false report or not, but if it is an obvious false report like your example then absolutely they should get the warning and if x amount of times false reporting after a certain amount of time then they should face suspensions/bans.
I’m not a rule breaker, I just notice a trend here on the forums and in-game.
Players don’t really need a valid reason to report you though, is what I’m concerned about. They could get their friends or guildmates to report you for something silly. Whether it could be for not liking your name, beating them in a duel, saying something they disagree with or your dps might be too low in their opinion.
Never underestimate the pettiness of people, especially online, that’s my concern. If I were breaking the rules, or acting out in chat, that would be different.
Actually, no. Not if done correctly.
Your lack of faith about that is telling as to the state of reporting though.
It seems like it is usually automated and done without thought.
What if my ideas do not coincide with the written rules?
Do I take it upon myself to overwrite what the rules mean?
In every case, a report should be reviewed by someone who decides whether it was a breach of the rules or not.
If someone is breaking a rule they should face a penalty.
If someone is reporting falsely they should be warned and be prepared to face penalties for false reporting.
What constitutes a false report will have to be determined.
Was it kinda true?
was it a blatant lie?
etc.
All this will take time and money.
Will Blizzard spend the money/manhours to do this?
I Donʻt know
People started getting afraid of report abuse after the social contract already, I’m not wanting it. That is why we NEED people to look at reports, even if it were just a few interns. There’s no shortage of people from the forums or the game that would love to have a job just sitting in front of a computer all day scouring reports.
They spend all day on the forums, should be their fantasy job.
