Some race/class combos don’t make sense.
On the other hand, there are races that can’t be certain classes for no good reason.
This used to stem from the early devs just being jerks, where they would gas-light players with lies like: “We don’t have the animations…”
An example was pretty much almost anything Gnome, but a Tauren could use a race-swap object and become a Gnome, and there were all of the animations that “didn’t exist”…
This is why I’ve taken several long breaks.
Druid has been my favorite class since the beginning, but also limited to all of my least favorite races.
There’s no good argument for this except “it makes races unique”, but it actually makes less sense lorewise. So people who are saying that Blizzard ruined the lore by expanding race/class combos, ironically don’t care or are ignorant to the lore that allows those combos to begin with.

I mean it’s been established that rogues wield a form of shadow magic that they use to conceal their presence. They’re not actually just tip-toeing trying to avoid being noticed.

Dude should probably play Helldivers 2. Those 30 ton chargers tip toe right up to you and smoosh your skull into gravy without so much as a sound. lol

lol even herald of the sun has a talent literally related to Turan’s sunwalkers lore. People who say things about the lore do not read or understand the lore at all or hate the lore because it doesn’t fit their headcanon.

A thousand times this. Blizz caved to the demands of some ridiculous combinations and I wouldn’t be surprised if they cave even more. Money talks, ridiculous looking house cat gnome druids will walk.

Forsaken Druids too - thinking use the Plagueland skins for them.

This is what Ive been trying tl tell others but every time I do they just jump me. More race class combinations fully erode the class fantasy. Just look at all these threads about making paladin an open class.

And as fine an argument as this can be, I feel the shift from leveling as an open world focus to shorter-form, bite sized content like we have now diminishes the importance of that a lot. Pretty much anyone can get their alts to 80 these days. Keeping up with them is another story, but still.
