but you fail to understand there are some…ahem …“LFR Heroes” that have already tried organized raiding and choose to remain just doing LFR. Its funny when people assume every single person who has LFR as their end game just hasnt done the other difficulties or something.
Its like being given 4 flavors of ice cream, and choosing vanilla. Not everyone chooses it because they havent tried the other flavors, its just that the other flavors arent to their liking.
And before someone goes hurr durr TF, yes that happens but an LFR raider might have 1-offs but in general is going to have lower ilevel gear than someone running higher content.
I’m making a case for the fact that you don’t have to be active in every aspect of a game for you to enjoy it.
Some people only PvP.
Some people spend 20+ hours per week smashing their face against mythic raid bosses.
Some people just collect mounts, or transmog, or pets.
Some people do M+ with their friends and raid for curve on weekends.
These are just a few examples, but all of them currently play the same game and pretty much never step on each other’s toes.
That’s what I mean by having all these separate games existing in the same one. Some of them are more MMO-like, others are not. If they brought back the old AV from Vanilla, some people would probably throw themselves into it and spend whole days in there, while most players would continue playing whichever version of WoW they prefer.
No pvp in wow will be on the same level as a game focused on it like lol.
Mythic is its own beast and it is teetering on the brink alliance mythic raiding is pretty dead in the water.
Solo content…mindless as well.
You can’t build a mmo without needing people to rely on each other at nearly every step. LFR isn’t the worse part of wow at least not anymore. WoW has turned into a lotto and it isn’t something I am all that interested in.
You do understand that higher raids give higher level gear? The people doing LFR were not going to join your guild to raid harder content with or without LFR. LFR is for the majority of players who did not raid and were not going to raid.
oh…really?
didnt a player just level up to 120 SOLELY with farming herbs?
Cant I actually just run pet battles all stinking day long without EVER dealing with another human being?
Can I level up QUESTING and not have to be bothered by gankers?
yeah…I can do all of the above so yeah…Blizard DID actually make an MMO that DOESNT REQUIRE me to be annoyed by other players IF thats how I CHOOSE to play the game.
And kudos to them for doing it
I don’t think Cyou meant the term as a negative phrase.
(Cyou, don’t forget that the term LFR Hero is considered insulting to some folks. Unfortunatly way too many of these anti-LFR threads have dubbed that a negative phrase.)
Exactly. Remove lfr, then say goodbye to raiding altogether. Why waste resources on a feature that only 1% of the playerbase would ever see? The devs said it themselves.
