yea, it was asked at one point during an interview, I think, because people donât want to be locked behind repâŚcuz letâs face it, rep farming is tedious if youâre just returning to the game. So they stated that not all of them will be locked behind a rep, and some will be locked behind quest lines.
Itâs a breath of fresh air, especially when it comes to the Vulpera/Sethrak combo, since we have no rep linked to themâŚyet the vulpera do (and sethrak on horde quests) but only one race will be unlocked via said repâŚat least thatâd make sense logically speaking.
raptors and anzu use the same rig, but they are not the same model. an example of using the same model would be violet proto drake vs timelost proto drake. those are same model, different skins. There is a distinct difference between skins, models, and rigs.
Sethrallis and other Sethrak models may be similar, which makes sense considering theyâre the same race, and IRL there are isnt a lot of dimorphism between male/female reptiles so it would make sense that blizzard would follow suit with reptilian races in their game. The models are different, the rigs are the same.

The lack of sexual dimorphism is actually one of the things Iâm looking forward to with them. Itâs a nice change of pace from the usual female fantasy race fair.
Now if we can just get a beard option for dwarven women.

I agree completely <3 I just think aesthetics is all thatâs necessary to make a difference~ And armor will surely look different on a male vs a female as well. So it will be easy to distinguish what gender it is

Iâm baffled as to why anyone would want to play as Sethrak or Vulpera. Both are contrived and goofy creations-- hideous even.

personally, i dont understand why people would want even more humans/elves as i find them uninspired and boring at this point, and yet we have people asking for Sanâlayn and high elves, and people excited about kulâtirans. (I donât go into their threads and tell them theyâre silly for wanting them, though, because they arenât: people want what people want, and good on them for being passionate about something.)
At least vulpera and Sethrak have very different aesthetics from the other races. âVariety is the spice of life.â

How are you all that different? In your altered but still conscious state, you cannibalize your own. With your fangs, you chew and gnaw on the flesh and bones of your uncooked (probably still breathing) victims. In your wake, are probably the mangled bodies of families from villages you passed. You smell like wet dog, and you clean your genitals with your mouth. All of that sounds pretty commonplace for a werewolf. Iâd say orcs are more civilized.
Also, Sethrak are not snakes; they look like cartoonish lizards with snake-like heads.
I am a gilnean, and I have not done any of those things. You on the otherhand willingly drank demons blood and went on a genocidal killing spree.

Technically, my character wasnât even alive when they drank the demon blood. Humans have done atrocious and heinous things throughout history, should we be held accountable for our raceâs past actions?
But I agree, orcs are more or less savages.
They already hold us accountable for past actions though. Hey I believe in forgiveness.

I love their concept and design, itâs appealing to someone like me. And theyâre a snake head and a snake tail with humanoid bodies, I just find them awesome ^^ not to mention some of their animations imho are pretty damn cute.

Iâve wanted to play as Naga since day 1 of WoW. Iâve wanted to play as a Drakonid shortly after that, Saurok since MoP, Sethrak since BfA beta. Is it too much to ask for some scaly badass player race in a 15 year old game, preferably on the Alliance?
Nothing would reignite my lost passion as much as that. Nothing.
