I will only accept Sethrak if they come in Dark Iron flavor
Sethrak Fire mage!
Would be cool to see if you can change the glowing mark colors.
I think that would be great.
Maybe some more lightning colors.
White, light yellow, maybe light green.
Ooh. Light purple.
Happy Wednesday everyone!
Here is a “wednesday” themed snake of the day featuring a great and previously discussed possibility for a Sethrak skin tone customization.
Blue phase White Lipped Tree Viper.
Fezzy is(away) for the meantime. I will be helping with the Sethrak thread while he is gone.
Cute sidewinder snake!
Glad for the help! I’ll miss Fezzy for the time they’re gone.
Sidewinders could be a good source of inspiration for possible racials for Sethrak.
On a side note I’ve been bitten by one of these! They’re a type of rattlesnake and my whole arm was affected by the venom. Luckily no lasting damage. And by no means has it deterred my love for snakes, even the venomous ones.
They are always fun to watch, such hypnotic movement as they slide along~
As for the thread I have been thinking about more customization, for the hoods. I know people have mentioned jewelry before so I was thinking stuff like gauges may be neat too or maybe just holes/tears in general, like scarring.
I know technically the hood is made up of ribs and poking holes thru would be kinda dangerous and probably not possible but its a fantasy game~ If it was realistic they’d only flare their hoods in combat.
I’ll see if I can find the article or pictures but cobras with damaged hoods in the wild are not uncommon. So this sort of cosmetic customization is completely plausible. Or just cause fantasy game reasons lol.
Snakes have an amazing ability to heal from nasty injuries.
Here ya go. They’re fixing an injury to this cobra’s body but you can see a old healed wound on the hood!
Thanks! very interesting stuff~
It’s not the exact case I’m recalling but, yes really neat!
I think scars, hood damage, etc would be a great customization for Sethrak.
Or even body scars. I’ve seen some Garter Snakes that had old lawn mower injuries that looked like it should have killed them but nah.
I had a pet one for awhile that had half her face/cheek scales ripped off ,just raw muscle and she thrived for me. It never did heal. Also was missing the tip of her tail and had broken ribs. I rescued her out of someone’s basement drain.
For sure, all sorts of scars will help people be able to some make tough noodles, maybe even add clouded eyes, although that’s a shedding thing could be a interesting customization with more of that rough n tumble angle.
I’m very pleased she thrived! I’d make her up a little phantom of the opera mask for that side I think, even if she felt 100% I’d still feel sad every time I saw the injury… but I’m sure it gave her a lot of character and that she was overjoyed to be rescued!
I wish everyone would treat all animals with respect and do their best to save even the smallest pals.
Sethrak will not be playable. Just stop
Snakes can go blind or get cataracts so a blind eye option for Sethrak would work! Or even missing an eye. Snakes are sometimes born missing one or both eyes.
Here is what it looks like when it is a genetic thing. The terrible issue here is that people breed them (Ball Pythons) for this trait. Which I do not care for.
But obviously it is a trait that occurs naturally in the Wild from time to time.
I know a fellow on a fb forum I follow that has an eyeless Cobra. Total accident, it was not a deliberate breeding. He says it’s one of his best snakes.
And here is what cataracts look like in snakes. Just like in other animals and people.
Oh dear… I do enjoy a lot of the pretty morphs but breeding for that seems outragous.
If it were people breeding for eyeless dogs you’d see an uproar, of course.
Those cataracts are neat, could def use them for an alt eye colour.
Or how about Vine Snake eye options for Sethrak? They have some really unique pupils.
Contrary to popular belief a lot of snakes have very good vision.
They remind me a little of squid or goat eyes which have always been awesome, was a missed opportunity not letting Draenei have goat eyes.
