Random thought, with the Exalted being removed from Allied Race requires in Shadowlands does that possibly mean that Sethrak actually work more than ever? the rep they were very minorly related to was Volādunai in terms of rep gain, all it needs now is a storyline unlock for them else be too easy (Granted Junkergnomes harder then Vulpera so i care little for that easy part now).
Really hoping some info is found about 2 more allied races soon, just seeing the Junkergnome/Vulpera while leveling alts thing is just more and more depressing and makes me wanna touch the game less since its just more and more unbalancing each time i see it, dont even care if its Jinyu or Ankoen with GIlgoblins just want this to be balanced again.
I dont call them Junkergnome as an insult i actually like that theyāre from the Junk heap and risen up to retake their city, plus we have literal Mechagnomes you can see while leveling in WotLK, hell calling them Rustbolt Gnomes wouldāve been cooler than Mechagnomes tbh has that zing to it.
Also nice mog choice for your Nightborne Lock there Fezzy i approve only cause it colour matches
PS: If i wanted to insult them iād use there alternate current name, Diapergnomes and you cant change my mind on that (poor pants mogs).
Smart~ I transferred with my raid team (Evil I know, but with a drought coming up I wanted to keep doing the content I enjoy) and I canāt change characters now at all, stuck on Tatty~
Thatās alright though, not looking forward to reearning my trust.
Regardless of what happens, I hope people continue to support the races they want playable both throughout and past Shadowlands.
I still think itās important to continue to show support and interest through different means, and megathreads have been a good way of doing that in my opinion. I always cite things like the Magāhar Orcs and Dark Iron Dwarves as examples for races people have asked to be playable over several years and they eventually became playable. I do think fan feedback is important and that it does get researched and collected in some fashion.
I still think weāll see more allied races occasionally, and core races still have decent chances in future expansions. Say what you will about BfA, but it did have a unique experience in bringing people together in supporting the races they want playable and creating communities around them.
I know Iāll continue to march for the races I want playable, and I hope others will do the same for their wanted races.
Never say never, given how Activision are they might use the final 2 ARs without reps attached to garner good will for themselves to try and attract back customers, like they just released MW2 Remastered that they had been saving for a rainy day.
I hope for this as well. Iāll certainly keep popping into the threads of ARās to show support. Though my heart lies mostly with Sethrak.
Very true, though it also brought some amount of hostility between some members of those groups. I hope in the future we see only the positive aspects not the negative ones.
Maybe, but it could be blizzard has listened to the players. It was a major complaint about ARs.
Sethrak for the Alliance! (but playable is fine blizz seriously please.)
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it! As an original holiday of renewal and fertility, this fits right in with snakes and Sethrak.
Snakes often symbolize fertility, rebirth and renewal and even healing. (Which also makes Sethrak a perfect race to be connected with Ardenweald via Sethraliss and Shadowlands)
So have a very Sethraky holiday!! And may Sethrak be playable in the relatively near future!
I canāt see the Sethrak being an Alliance-only race. Youāre right that theyāre not enemies of the Alliance, but theyāre not enemies with the Horde either - both factions helped them, and the Horde has helped them more. Not only that, but their home is in Horde territory - both the Zandalari and the Vulpera have officially joined and if the Sethrak tried to join the Alliance, it would almost certainly cause a lot of problems.
That being said, I canāt see them being a Horde-only race. Thereās no reason for them to just suddenly decide to be āat warā (or at least unfriendly) with a faction that went out of their way to help them despite being in enemy territory.
What I personally would like to see is neutral allied races. I know in the past they had regrets about the Pandaren being neutral, but I canāt think of any issues Iāve had with them being available to both sides and I think the pros of having such a cool race being available to everyone outweighs the potential cons.
And theyāre not dissimilar from the Pandaren. Similar to how their starting zone had them interact with both sides, the Sethrak work with both the Horde and Alliance in Volādun and get the chance to learn about each of them. They could individually choose to pledge their allegiance to one side or the other without the downsides associated with the entire race officially choosing a side.
I donāt want a race this cool to be locked to either side, especially because it would almost certainly have to be Horde (unless theyāre willing to give up their homeland).
For sure! They really are an awesome race, I would love to be able to play them. And the fact that most people seem to agree is actually kind of exciting, because I really do think this is an opportunity we havenāt had since MoP.
Except itās even better this time, because unless Iām mistaken, there hasnāt been a Kung-Fu Snake movie made yet. Pandaren are one of the least played races and itās not because theyāre neutral. People just donāt like them as much.
The Sethrak could be what the Pandaren were supposed to be!
Yes, there is loads of potential with Sethrak. And I think Blizzard is likely aware theyāre a community favourite. And so different from some other community faves we have seen.
I have also said before, that in Shadowlands there is plenty of room to make Sethrak relevant as well! We got Sethraliss as their loa. Thatās a tie to Ardenweald. And what snakes symbolise, which I outlined in one of the recent previous posts (the easter one) that also scores them another point with huge potential to be tied to our coming expansion. Plus, with the removal of the exalted faction prerequisite, it would make it even easier for the Devs to add them in.
I gotchu in the mean time. Baby Dekayās Brown Snake or Red Bellied Snake. Not sure which one without seeing the belly. Theyāre itty bitty as adults and totally cute and harmless!
